A pilot's life is definitely the best airline career addon. I used to think flying airliner from point A to point B is kinda boring, but this addon adds the purpose of flying airliner.
Most people probably don’t realize how much work you put in to get all that b-roll and then do the cuts like that every few seconds. It’s a lot of work, well done !
Great video Shane. My free trial of FS Realistic ends today. It’s pretty cool. I like the landing effects also. Good to know that it interfaces with the Next Level Racing chair sensor pad. I am definitely going to get the FS Realistic and the gaming chair pad. Im anxious to try those products together.

Once again AFS, great video! I agree, real taxiways is a must! Will need to check out the power lines. You're right, GSX does take some work. I also have a Pilot's Life, like it! For me, the best addons are actually custom airports. I wont even fly to a default airport now. It makes the sim costly, but worth it to me. My next favorite addons are FSRealistic and ATC Chatter.
I wish there was a way for an add-on to replace the maps on the map window, or on the G3 X2 utilize US sectional Maps. That would be awesome. I can fly with a sectional on my phone using ForeFlight, but when I play in VR, the sectional maps are no longer accessible. Thanks for yet another great video with ad on suggestions! I end up using a lot of the ones you suggest!
I fly only VR and use Foreflight in VR. You'll need to run the SteamVR runtime, the XSOverlay, Airserver. I use an Apple tablet and screen mirroring feature to display the Foreflight screen from the tablet to the computer monitor. The XSOverlay(Steam app) will allow you to grab the Foreflight screen from the monitor and display it in your VR session. Cheers!

I know this is a long shot, but do you know whether this add on may just come to Xbox Series S as I hate using the taxi ribbon, yet most airports seem to have no directions whatsoever. I just cannot do it without those big blue arrows. Well done again, and thank you.

Ya after several reinstalls the same thing happens to me. If I'm on a planned flight and ATC changes my ILS landing, I usually change it and put the new data in. However, with GSX Pro, It jams and the plane doesn't move and none of the buttons function anymore. Building a new comp, so hopefully a reinstall on that one will be better. I enjoy watching the loadouts with animation.
Would LOVE to see more FSX style missions. There are waay too many 'scenery and landing' missions that very quickly become unmemorable after the first run through. There are, thankfully, some of the old FS missions now in FS2020 and they make a huge difference, giving the player something meaningful and memorable to do. BUT(!!!), Asobo et al are missing out on the potential of these types of missions by pumping out more and more of the 'standard' scenery/landing missions. As nice as they are, they are not memorable. Anyone who has played any of the FS releases before FS2020 will know what I'm talking about - we all remember many of the classic missions, and remember them for obvious reasons. FS2020 is a fantastic upgrade to FSX etc. It has huge potential but unfortunately, that potential is not being recognised/realised. It will be relegated to niche unless they give players, especially console players, meaningful things to do !!!
I want gsx to come to console. I think that would be a lot more realistic. Also the console needs a new pushback system like a pre plan pushback the default is really annoying and bad.
@@forky8079 GSX uses (and always has used) an external scripting engine called couatl which is core to the addon's functionality. Long story short, Xbox doesn't allow for third party programs such as couatl to run, meaning GSX can't work in it's current state in the XBox version. I aplogise for my vagueness, can't remember the exact details so I'm not going t misrepresent the details, but that's the overall reason from memory.
You're not missing anything. It was the very first add-on I purchased and now I NEVER use it. It is extremely buggy and can cause msfs freezes and crashes.
Wild question for any actual pilots. If I can get into basically any plane in the game and get a decent landing most of the time on realistic settings and most weather conditions…. How much greater chance would I have in the real world over someone with no experience? 5%? 100%? Obviously it’s opinion but I’m curious.
Great video!!! I bought GSX and LOVED IT. But it is too BUGGY and time consuming to edit airports. You spend almost the same amount of time "fixing" the airports as you do flying the aircraft. Did I mention it's extremely 'BUGGY'!!! It's a shame, because it doesn't look like the "BUGS" will be addressed. Another words, I should have just burnt the $40 I spent on GSX Pro
