K/L are literally my top ship, in the whole entire world ever. No matter what happens on Friday, I'm really grateful to have found such an awesome dynamic and to have read SO MANY books worth of fanfiction! SPEAKING OF - archiveofourown.org/works/150... This is the fic that helped inspire the edit (especially the cave scene)! It's called "5 Reasons To Stay" and it's SOOOO amazing and properly in character. Please go leave a comment so that the author might feel inspired to finish it off!
I'm not sure if the voiceovers are going to work out on this one, because I low-key messed up my hearing in one ear after too many loud rock concerts... so until that heals, figuring out the balance of voiceover to music is going to be quite hard. The lyrics to this song aren't really related, like some of them are but not the general theme, I just really liked the vibe of it and the way it builds up towards the end!
Also, LMAO, please ignore this ugly thumbnail... I tried okay, honestly this video took like four months because my inspiration is so dead and buried after that fiasco of a season. Coming up with ideas was just, tough... And sorry to freak out back when S7 dropped, but Adam dying?! Seriously?? After 2 minutes of screentime, and then Shiro being given 6.8 seconds to "mourn" when the Holts got like 10 minutes dedicated to them reuinting? BOOOOOOO!
After Korra, I really hoped it would be different this time, but you know what? There are over 25,000 fanfics out there for these two, I like to imagine them working things out in some alternate universe.
I'm not... optimistic anymore, but I'm sort of like, cautiously hopeful that there might be a twist? I don't expect it by any means, but there's still a little part of me that's hoping we're wrong. A/L just seem so obvious, and seasons 1-3 were so K/L-heavy in comparison. Plus why didn't L vote for A in The Feud episode?? Surely if he's in love with her, he would have wanted HER to be free, hahaha.
But as I said, it doesn't really matter because I'm going to make myself a gin and tonic (or three), buy all my favourite red and blue themed candy, and enjoy a final farewell to the canon footage of all these characters. 2 years has just flown by!
