Today I'm going to show you what it's like to survive 100 hours as a pro drummer. There's a lot more that goes on behind the scenes in the music world than you may think. My band, I Prevail is playing a song that we've never played before. So I'm going to walk you through our rehearsal process, my personal practice process, and then of course, our live concert in New York.

4:20 - In the unlikely event you didn't know this, a quick way to calculate your song's bpm by ear with your phone or smartwatch, is to time 1 full bar, let's say it was 8 seconds, then use this easy formula: 16 / 8 x 60. 16(counts in a full bar) / 8(secs timed) x 60(secs in minute) = 120 BPM. Accuracy depends on your count timing, of course. ♥Thanks for the POV vids. love em!

I'm a locksmith and just to explain a tip for that ignition issue in the beginning- put pressure more towards the column as you turn it. It works every time. It's some kind of electrical connection issue between the back of the ignition cylinder and housing for a lot of fords with that plain chrome face ignition style. Sooner when you started to play your new songs, I can immediately feel it's church beats, I used to play at church for long time too, now I am in heard rock metal bands, sometimes it's very hard to adjust the style from church beats to heavy metal beats thanks for your videos, I have been subscribed for about 3 years now, it's really good to see how your drumming life progresses. Dude I love these POV videos. You are giving me the biggest inspiration to play drums more. I learned a little bit on an electric kit but I'm currently trying to save up to get an acoustic kit. I let a kid from my church borrow my electric kit so he can learn how to play. Now my little studio feels so empty without drums in there.

Some of the best content on RU-vid. I listened to a few iPrevail songs before seeing these POV videos and honestly seeing you guys as a group got me much more into your music. I’ve seen that starting issue with a lot of fords/mercurys and the such. It is the ignition switch going bad. Not to be confused with the lock cylinder(where your key is inserted). The switch is the black plastic electrical piece behind it.

I am not a drummer but I have loved drums and the sound since I was a kid. When I listen to music, I listen for the drums. Something about them and rocking out makes me happy. Wish I learned them growing up.
