The arguments for Achane are getting out of hand. Kyren played one more game than Achane, never had a 54 point week, and still finished 60 points ahead of Achane in standard format. Only players to average more points per game than Achane? Christian McCaffrey (20.25), Kyren Williams (18.5), and wouldn't you know it...Raheem Mostert (16.1). Worst part about that stat? No, not that it's in standard format. It's the fact that Mostert averaged more points per game than Achane _while_ playing 4 more games than him. Wildly overlooked stat going into this season on a RB who just got extended by a coach who handpicked him from his last job. And if you think McVay is going to give Corum a significant role at any point this season, even if Kyren gets hurt? I'll note that it would be the first time ever in McVay's coaching career. Corum will split touches with Ronnie Rivers _at best_ so I don't understand the panic against Williams.
Why did you use standard scoring though? Mostert scored 18 TDs and stayed healthy for most of the season….do you think he’s likely to repeat that feat?
@@slickrick8046mostert will def vulture some tds from Achane tho. Corum will not, I really like Devone Achane I drafted him last year knew he’d be great. But that backfield is gonna have so many different guys touching the ball. If u have an elite rb1 then yea Achanes a great pick if u need an rb1 take kyren over Achane.
Kyron is a number 1 back. A workhorse. Achane is in a shared backfield. You are betting that he ends up dominating the backfield in this offense. If that doesn't happen then Kyron is far better. I am also a Dolphins fan. There is no one in our camp that thinks Mostert will do any worse than last year. Mostert is the best back in the red zone. Achane is still learning from the master.
Saying that CJ Stroud is a similar QB to Trevor Lawrence is nuts. What TL has in mobility, he lacks in ball security. He not only threw 14 INTs last season, but recorded 7 lost fumbles. He doesn't take command of an offense like a true leader needs. Watch the tape and count how many times Lawrence and his intended receiver weren't on the same page.
I unsubscribed from this guy... He's like a plant in the FF industry. Like he decided since he was good at speaking he should do fantasy football podcasts. Idk something is off about him. There's much better FF people to listen to
Najee Vs Zamir is an example of playing not to lose rather than taking the upside and playing to win. You forgot to mention that Najee is competing with a very talented back in jaylen Warren. Some even say he can take the lead role there. And as you said, Arthur Smith used a lot of Tyler Allgier last year although having Bijan. I expect warren to be a thorn in Najee’s side. I’ll take Zamir who will run the ball a million times a game.
You aren't factoring in just how many times a game PIT will run the ball. OR that it's a contract year for Najee. They're going to run him into the ground. I like Zamir too. It'll probably be close. But those are other things to think of on Najee
Achane will be splitting work with 2 other backs and you're excited about that in the 2nd? Don't outsmart yourself, take Pacheco at that ADP. The Chief's defense is solid now so Pacheco will be playing with a lead in 90% of their games this year plus there's no Mckinnon. Pacheco is a way better pick than Achane. Remember this comment!. Good show man.
I've followed Sal Vetri since 1974. He's never let me down. You have no idea how difficult it was to follow Sal before the internet was invented. Lots of handwritten letters and carrier pigeons.
Devon is not averaging 7.7 ypt please do not draft this guy thinking that production is sustainable. He would quite literally be the greatest RB in NFL history by a wide margin IF that was sustainable
Not to mention he’s tiny, has legitimate durability/injury concerns and will never get a 3 down workload because of his size. Not really someone I feel confident spending a 2nd or 3rd round pick on, when he likely doesn’t even play the whole season. People are riding this dude so hard acting like he’s gonna average 10 ypt this year and be healthy the whole year.
@duckbox765 I had mostert last year and drafted him like round 10. It made me watch the dolphins play. Achane is explosive but tiny, I've seen arm tackles take him down and I'm nervous he will be injury prone. Moestart is also injury prone but for where you can get him, I'd rather go reciever heavy and back fill with contributors like him
For real lol, Corum is only gonna take work away from Kyren when he's tired, excellent handcuff for sure but Kyren is gonna be a monster again. Rams offense as a whole will be so sneaky good
Mostert outsnapped Achane 9-2 with the starters in week 2 of the preseason. Obviously the split won’t be that crazy but it shows Mostert is still going to have at least 45% of this backfield. Blake Corum was literally just brought in to help kyrien because Royce freeman and Darrell Henderson and Ronnie Rivers are terrible😂Doesn’t make sense to me.
I was thinking the same thing. I seem to remember videos where Sal is high on Michal Pittman and down on Cupp’s ADP. Also I think he’s basically right on Mobil QB but last year Goff and Purdy outscored Mahomes. Tua was right behind Mahomes.
No way, Achane over Williams. NO WAY. First off, if you think over 7 YPC is going to be duplicated, ain't no way. Second, not only does Achane have Mostert who will get all high value touches but also Jaylen Wright and Jeff Wilson is still there. that is too much competition. I am more than happy letting all my league mates take Achane in the second round, as my drafts start this week, I am begging for that.
It is De'Von Ay-chan, not Ay-chain. Achane is in a 3 RB crew. He will be a top 20 RB this year, but Kyren is the main back. Even if Corum comes in to take some snaps away.
You should look at kyren williams datA before saying he is rank too high. Williams production was on Mccafferty level. He is my #1 pick. I will give you 2 to 1 odds that williams will outperform achane this year.
His production was absolutely nowhere near CMC level. CMC had about 700 more total yards, twice as many receptions and 7 more TDs. Whoever is in your league should thank you after you take him in the 1st. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Achane cannot sustain that workload at 5’9” and 188 lbs. McDaniel said they might get 4 backs into the rotation this year and why they brought Mostert back and drafted a sick RB as well.
Richardson won't stay healthy - he had 2 injuries, week 2 and then week 5 and he was then done for the year. QB's like him rely on their rushing ability more than their arm. That doesn't usually work out well in the NFL
Don’t love the Pittman hate, he should be about the same as last year and if AR gets hurt again he’s got Flacco to yolo sling the ball all over the yard. Also davante Adams has been really disrespected in drafts as well. Everybody says he doesn’t have a clear QB upgrade but Gardner minshew helped Pittman have his best year yet last year so he can definitely get the ball rolling davante which was the problem. To say davante is aging is lazy he had the second most targets in the league last year and just couldn’t get catchable balls. Don’t be surprised if davante gets 100 catches 1500 yards and 10 TD’s this year
Hey Sal, Thanks for the great advice. Followed you for years and took 1st and 2nd in my 2 leagues last year. Just found out I have 1.01 on my big money league this season. Breece or Bijan?
I think Amari Cooper is going to explode. Ken Dorsey loved having Josh Allen force feed Diggs the first half of the year, and even if Deshaun craps the bed, they have a deep passer in Jameis who can replicate the volume Flacco gave last year
Achane has potential but I don't like how inconsistent he is. He is not a 2nd round rb. He did go in the 3rd or 4th in my league. Jacobs has more stability and r white went before achane
in which app is kupp still going in the late 3rd round??? i'm mainly playing dk and ud and those apps, kupp is going early 2nd. and to those who draft collins, pittman etc ahead of kupp, thank you!
Guys, Mike Evans or Brandon Aiyuk in Half-PPR? Got Tyreek and Achane first 2 rounds, want to grab my Second WR now. Kelce and LaPorta are still available. Im drafting 3.04 now
id say lean towards Evans. Aiyuk is better but who knows where he ends up. And training camp news is saying that Baker mayfield is ONLY looking at Mike evans and nobody else
Nico is barely coming off of the field. Dell is not playing 2 WR sets either. Nico will be a top 10 to 15 WRs this year. Also, Pittman can be amazing, but im not sure how Richardson will be this year. Seems like a big running offense this year.
hey sal, i bought the fantasy blueprint by depositing money in sleeper with your code and looking back at your site it doesn’t show sleeper as a sponsor. does that not work anymore?
The truth is Kupp Collins and Pittman is they will all probably end up scoring a similar total. Im still drafting Kupp over Collins and Pittman too though. I only have Pittman and Collins in 2 leagues each out of over 50 leagues so far....
I disagree about flowers and cooper. Flowers is going to be the deep threat on an offense that defenses will be focusing on stopping the run. Cooper is older and on a worse offence and a worse qb.
Kyren Williams is a better pick than Achane. Durability my friend. Kyren Williams is a beast. You’re right about Kupp. And Stroud is wayyyy better than Richardson. In the colts last joint practice the bengals defense said he was terrible
Kupp doesn't make it past the turn to begin round 3... most of my drafts he's gone off the board round 2 (maybe a bit too early). I hope nobody waits and expects him there around pick 38 in a 10 team PPR league.
Sal, love your draft guide, thanks...Kupp....my problem is i have Puka as a 12th round keeper....no way I should take Kupp also...should I ???? Seems like too much value to let slide by?????
I'm targeting Kupp and Deebo hard this year. The hardest part is, ill have to be going 0 rb this year. I have the 2nd pick in a 10 team ppr league. My 1st pick will most likely be Tyreek.
All this Richardson hype and your opening sentence states the reason to pick Stroud before him; "Anthony Richardson, in the 2 games we got from him last season. " 2 games. There was a bunch of b.s. hype last year and look how it turned out? What about all the Justin Fields hype?!?! Yeah. 3 years of listening to that garbage. Now he gets traded for a bag of dirty jock straps and . . .
Cooper Kupp had lots of injuries and battled last year. Looks healthy now. Want a player that oftens gets injured? That's why he's not a 1st or 2nd rounder.
I have to disagree with the Raiders take. Minshew might not be a gun slinger but he lead the Colts to a 9-8 record and one game shy of the playoffs. Not to mention he was a pro -bowl alternate selection. Adams should have a decent year still.
@@DerultimateKeks this is my first keeper league, I’m taking a team over but keeping players do not affect where you draft if that’s what you mean. I have first pick
Im down on everyone going in the top 10 except Tyreek. The RBs haven’t done it or are too old, and all the WRs have issues like not going to camp or losing their QB.
@@dustinbridges6831 Thats fair. My good friend used to be a football coach at Valor where CMC went to high school. My friend used to play at Nebraska (when they were good). He said he’s never seen anybody like McCaffrey. Just a machine and his work ethic was insane. And that was when he was just in HS.
@@hofahome Yeah his Dad was good too. I think he could be a number 1 wr if he wanted to play that position. Hopefully he stays healthy. But chase and Lamb are still holding out. Robinson and Hall have never produced like they are expected to. And Jefferson has a garbage QB now. Taylor is getting older. So That leave Tyreek, St Brown, AJ Brown and Barkley that I’m comfortable with. But if i get a top 5 pick I’m hoping for Tyreek or ill roll the dice on CMC
