I grew up in church, & My family comes generationally from preachers. All this got our family was a life of misery as we believed poverty was humility. The organised church abused the goodwill of my ancestors to get them to work for nothing and setup generational poverty. I recognised this, and left the church, lived like the world drank heavily, and got a job a a fast food shop, depressed and suicidal stuck between two worlds of knowing God had a plan for my life, and afraid to act on it afraid God wanted to take away my money because of what religion taught us about money. The day I listened to Joel for the first time eliminated that fear, I was able to go to work with hope. I dropped the alcohol and drugs. The spirit of suicide and depression left. And I got a job in what I always wanted and found my wife all within 9 months. This was after years of bondage and confusion. His message works, judge a preacher by the fruit of their congregation. When one has more wealth they can live however they want so long as it lines up with the word of God. And there isn’t a single scripture that condemns being wealthy, find it for me if you can. I tried. Additionally, Joel doesn’t take any money from the church, it is all from his book sales. His message works. Don’t let the media or jealous people stop you from receiving the good word he preaches.
