I always thought the opposite game would be cool. Like, you're one of those uninvited squatters and you have to live with someone in their house for as long as possible without being detected. Sneak out to get food and all that.

personally, i like these types of games due to the vhs style. it adds a sense of creepiness on top of the current threat.

I feel like most horror game that mentions pills at the beginning always winds up that all the scary stuff came about simply because you, or someone else, forgot/mixed up the pills, therefore hallucinations happened.

The unfortunate thing about horror games is when they talk about DID / other dissociative disorders / psychosis but they didn't really do their proper research. I enjoy horror as a genre, but as someone who has depression with psychotic features and DID and has had symptoms their entire life, it's frustrating sometimes to see how people use my disorders and related disorders to tell horror stories that are super inaccurate and stigmatise us further. I used to be in denial about my diagnosis because I used to think of Split and various horror related media whenever I thought about 'multiple personality disorder.' I know Insym is unaware about this and generally can't control the horror genre, but I wish more people were aware of what the disorder is like. I try to be quite open about my diagnosis, but my family doesn't like me being honest. Unfortunately, sedation doesn't get rid of dissociation or alters. Dopamine antagonists and other medications do help with psychosis, however, which Eric is likely the result of based on what was said. Psychosis is generally characterised by voices outside of one's head, delusions, and hallucinations. Alters are usually inside of one's head instead and generally cannot be seen outside of the body unless psychosis blends with DID. That being said, Eric doesn't show signs of other hallucinations throughout the game, so it's hard for me to guess what he really has. As someone who has a major interest in psychiatry and has considered a career in its field, especially given my biology major and psychology courses, I can safely say that it would be interesting to see more horror creators actually use the real symptoms of mental illness for a horror game. The darkest parts of reality are what causes people to have disorders like mine and the general horrors that come with psychosis. To expand upon that would be truly horrifying, or, I like to think so.

I love the Silent Hill style of horror, although I will criticize the oddity in the ****Spoilers**** Father's suicide note, because he contradicted himself by saying he'd get back to be Christopher's father, and that killing himself as revenge on the mother wouldn't allow him to be be a father to Christopher.

It’s basically like Mr. Robot and Moon Knight. The kid had a traumatic experience and in order to protect him from the pain his mind dissociated and created another personality to take the damage. So when he’s Christopher he’s a nice normal kid that doesn’t remember what happened to his dad, but when he’s Eric he’s angry, hateful, and callous

Plot twist: Eric isn’t imaginary. He has invisibility tech like the sociopath in “The Invisible Man” that only children can see him through (for whatever reason) and Chris was abducted and brought to a weird house. (Yes I’m joking) Also, I love that someone in chat said “100% Yokai” when Eric was being blind.

We know horror games are scary. But why do so many thunder sounds do the job allone allready? Literally my biggest heart attack I can really remember came from Bigfoot where it felt like my heart just dropped into my leg when a tree got struck by a lightning

Have you ever thought about the fact that the amount of horror games you play on a daily base cause allot of stress on your body and this could effect your health. I don't know if it is significant enough but that is a thought i had. I mean i am stressed out allot by just watching you playing stuff.
