I still miss playing Minecraft for the first time on xbox 360 when my brother asked our mom for his birthday. I still remember my neck hurting from looking up at the television while playing with my brother, sister and cousin. Now my mom sold it and my siblings aren't interested in Minecraft anymore. My cousin moved away. I miss it.

Sometimes, it feels good to be nobody

This comforts me in a melancholy kind of way. I like it. It makes me feel safe to cry. It feels like a loving hug from someone you haven't seen in a long time. It's like a faraway hope. It's like a fuzzy, blurry future that was once filled with despair and is now filled with some hope, with some joy, with some excitement. It's like closure for bad news and the ability to move on. It's bittersweet. I love it.

I’m not kidding when I say Minecraft saved my life. 10 years ago roughly my longtime girlfriend and I broke up. We were supposed to get married, talked about it and dreamed a future together. But some tough things happened, she became depressed, and because I was unable to cure it for her, I became depressed too. We broke up mutually in slow motion it felt like as we realized we weren’t helping each other and needed to focus on ourselves. At the time, a friend of mine became homeless and I decided to take him in on my couch while he sorted his life out. We were both in our mid twenties and in a rough spot in our lives. But he had played this game called Minecraft before and told me I should check it out. So one day I sat down with him and we both played for a bit, and it became a routine to play the game for hours on end together late into the night. I swear that game was cathartic and helped us both return to some sense of peace and normalcy. I don’t know if I would have climbed out of that depression hole I had gotten into without it. I’m leaving out a lot of details but it was a really dark time in my life. Anyway, thanks for this video. It brings me back to overcoming those sad days.

it feels so dumb typing this, but this makes me wanna cry. i grew up/am still growing in a emotionally abusive and toxic household, and minecraft used to be my escape from reality. being someone whos very creative and has a lot of ideas, i could be on there for hours. even if it was for a little bit, it let 9 year old me forget the unfair world and my place in it. i cant express how much this game has done for me, and i cant explain how close i hold it to my heart.

I've played Minecraft since my childhood, into my 20s, and a lot with my dad. I just know when he dies, opening this game will break my heart, like going back to your old house and finding it empty.

I think one of the coolest things about Minecraft is that so many people of so many different ages all have fond memories of it. I've seen comments on here from people as young as 12 and as old as 37. It's insane how a simple Javascript game managed to capture the hearts of hundreds of millions of people.

I've spent the last of my minecraft years on multiplayer servers making some of the best friends I could imagine during covid. Didnt have music turned on for ages, so this always brings me back to when it all started, when I didnt know leads existed and pushed cows, when it was okay to start in a swamp, when dirt houses were all you could muster, just standing there for the whole night being afraid of spiders, admiring your dads builds, and making stupid mistakes that could pass for incidental griefing because you had no clue how the game worked... and dont even get me started on the minecraft youtubers, the wolf army we all secretly have and crying when one died, the little pieces of paper with our friends usernames, fighting with your siblings because its totally your turn, our first smps, etc. If only we knew that would be the best time in our life. We were just having fun. Thats all that mattered. Back when one sided homework existed and it only took 5 minutes and maybe a few tears at the dinner table

When you place your last block… someone in the world will be placing their first. coming back to this after techno passed is surreal.

I remember going over to my neighbors house on the weekends to have sleepovers, we used to take turns playing minecraft on his computer and watching minecraft videos. Eventually, he got me my own copy of the game for my 9th birthday. We played thousands of hours together, just enjoying life and making countless memories. I remember one day in particular, I ran home after getting off the school bus and immediately got on my computer because our faction was making a TNT cannon to raid an enemy faction base. I look back at these types of moments and It really just makes me want to cry. I feel like the joy in my life peaked upon the earlier stages of my childhood. I can't recall a single moment in the past 5 years where I felt a fraction of the happiness I felt in moments like those. I really miss not only my neighbor, but my whole environment, and sort of care free mentality I used to have. I would do anything to go back but I realize that times have changed and I will never be able to experience that kind of happiness again.

There are not many things that move me emotionally, but I can say your tracts are unbelievably profound if not in an emotional level then a spiritual level. Everyday when I see your name I truly believe your bringing somthing to the world and making it just a little bit better if only a step at a time. I hope your night or day is going well, take care.

Going into my last years of school it’s crazy looking back on how much I loved playing Minecraft and still do love playing it. I miss when games still had that charm. Things just don’t feel the same as they used to. It breaks my heart to say I don’t enjoy games like I used to. :(

Just turned 18. I cannot begin to describe the memories I've had in this "game". And I say that correctly, because is it truly just a game if it's what some of your fondest memories are? I havent played in almost 7 years, but this video has brought some long buried memories to light and ive decided id like to return to it again. To resurface old memories of a childhood long gone as well as make new ones, cant wait to see whats changed since ive last played. honestly we all know we were gonna scroll down here. no matter the vibe, we always look at comments on these types of videos. it's a rule of sorts. but, where do we fill this hole? im here because im having depressed issues. the girl i like just passed away, and she meant the world to me. never did i mention anything about minecraft to her, but it got me thinking. i'm a firm believer that music isn't just a sound, but instead a storage. by listening to mice on venus, i think of the first time i met the girl. annie was her name, she was beautiful beyond compare. while i never asked her out, and i'm also pretty sure her answer would've been a no, i was head over heels with her. every day, no matter what happened, i would text her to see how her day was. soon enough i started to talk to her more in person than i did on text, and i fell in love with the girl. she was short (which is always a plus) and was funny. she was deathly scared of the muppets, which made watching disney plus with her even the funnier. when she got in trouble at school it would rock her world because she wasn't used to getting in trouble. she loved that fact i would write songs for her. she told me everything that happened when she went to chicago, i told her everything that happened when i went to new york. soon enough, our lives were the others. or, at least, that how i think it was. i'll never now. there's no one to ask how she felt. there's no one to recall how she felt. never again will there be. and thats what scares me. i miss her, so much. every time i hear classic by mkto it makes me think of her because that was her favorite song. i can't move on. i never will, honestly. and it brings me back to minecraft. we all have those sudden boosts to play minecraft, then never touch it again for 2 months. and, hopefully, i can never think about this again. while, i most likely will never achieve what i want right now, maybe in the future. maybe the future brings all my needs. i just need to wait. one block at a time.

Yesterday, 30/06/2022 a minecraft Legend, well known as Technoblade has passed away... His fans are sending their condolences and best wishes to his family. I do too and there are so many things to say that i am unable to express. Even if i wasn't one of his royals followers, he made me laugh but most importantly he created and left a mark on everyone, his legacy. Alex, you were an awesome , creative and passively-chaotic human being, sadly you can no longer share with us. Technoblade never dies.

I wish I could wake up and know that this was all a dream, I've been playing in a different world since 2013. We were all lying in bed- you and me, across the street- on our tablets daddy bought us, never thinking about sleep. I hope you still remember me, though it's been several years. I still think of the time you taught me how to face my fear if the monsters in the darkness- where it wasn't safe- but you were there beside me to protect me, just in case. You might be wondering where I've gone, I'm not so far away. The truth is, I've grown up since then... You've probably done the same.

I started playing minecraft when I was younger. I was never especially good at it, I just liked being able to do a bunch of random things for absolutely no reason and having fun. I mostly played with my older siblings, who were obviously a lot better at it. But as we grew older, we just stopped playing minecraft. I've gone back to it a few times, but it's just not the same without my friends there. We've all grown up now, and we've grown apart. I don't know if it's because of past conflicts or because of person problems. But I miss having my friends and sister bugging me to play minecraft with them, even though I only ever played to spend time with them. I think I'll invite my sister to play again, just for fun.

Minecraft has always been here for me, the music, the old xbox live memories coming back, the minigames, the music videos, the lets plays. Recently i started sophomore and dropped me toxic online friends, they were horrible for my current mental state, they would say thing about my body, talk about how women are bad, i was the only girl in the group so i was bound to get picked on. It was different though, not the normal friendly messing around insults, the honest genuine ones. I broke up with my girlfriend and all they could say was “I wouldve dumped you too”, there was one of the guys that stood out..; Kyler, he was a selfish, self minded, narcissistic idiot, he always talked about how i was overweight and i should stop eating or just tell me how i shouldve ended it all when i was in my darkest time. Now the point is, when i was in my peak depression, i started playing minecraft again, i built a cabin, got dogs, learned redstone, eagerly waited for the 1.19 wild update. It was great, i went to the nether, built a dandy base there, got eyes of ender (i think thats the name) and defeated the dragon all in the span of 2 weeks, by myself. Now im in school, i have social anxiety, no friends, but i have straight A’s and B’s. I work after school at a daycare and the kids are fascinating, alot of them play minecraft and i taught this one kid named Austin tips on how to make a farm. Take it from me, ive been through almost every type of friendship. If you are being picked on or bullied by your friends in a toxic way, drop them immediately. They wont do you no good. Have a good night/day

I'm 23 this year. Just want to share that when playing minecraft I always felt like I want to cry because this calm and beautiful scenery in real life is very rare to experience to. I can be in minecraft all day long admiring the view

I can't experience Minecraft the same way I did when I was a kid, I grew up with this game but the magic is gone, especially since they changed the composer too because Microsoft didn't own C418's music. Every time I start this game up nowadays I just get bored, there's nothing for me to do that I haven't done before, no wonder, no excitement, no purpose to it all. Despite all that I'll keep going back every few months because just like you never really quit Runescape, you never quit MC either, you just take breaks.

Wow this comment section is really bringing me back. My favorite times would be the nights you play for 6 hours with all your buddies. You just made a ton of progress to your new base. Then at 3am your tired and just fishing listening to Minecraft music thinking about life. Those were much simpler times and they were really fun. I wish I had appreciated them more in the moment

I had so many memories from this game. I remember when I was really young, I'd go on creative and make those pixel drawings of different things. I also remember building the teen titans tower in creative. I even had a fancy ass house with a bunch of pet wolves. This kid I met joined my game, and he told me that he found herobrian in the game, he created a bunch of fire and stuff, took me a while to realize that it wasn't herobrian but it was just him with some skin. He didn't full destory anything, I got trolled hard. Couple years later I remember playing survival with my brother in law. That was lowkey fun asf, we didn't find diamonds but we had a cool house in the middle of mining areas. A year and a couple months ago I had a minecraft with one of my good old friends, we had a fancy minecraft world on top of a mountain (it had no roof), with a farm with animals. It was beautiful. I never had any pictures of it but I have good memories. Me and that person fell apart, but we ending up talking again. Had a minecraft world again but it was new, there was a hill with many flowers and stuff, it looked really cool. But yet again, me and the girl stopped talking. She was a good person, she did make me happy, but it didn't end up working out. I have many rare memories of this game, I don't play it often, never did, but all these memories mean a lot to me. And I'm willing to make more, I don't care how, or with who. But I will always enjoy the game itself, and most importantly, the music.

I remeber my first experience on Minecraft... PE YES, pocket edition, i didn't have pc, and my first survival experience were.. Very chaotic.. And confusing as well, i didn't know i had to wait for the blocks to break.. And i didn't know about "the first block you get is wood" so i ended up punching animals to eat and breaking block on the side of a mountain to surviva the night... Thats to say, i learned a lot with that world.

I just got into Minecraft, and I wish I could've had it as a child, it means so much to do many people and I feel like an intruder now, having only just discovered it's beauty. I've quickly fallen in love with it, as I know many people have. And even though I do not own the game myself, it brings memories of playing with my friends, since I don't have a console myself. And I've also fallen in love with the people who play it. The RU-vidrs, the streamers, the roleplayers, just this wonderful community I stumbled upon one day, and I've never been quite the same since.

This is everything I need, forever. I remember being so young. It hurts so good to listen to these, they always bring tears to my eyes. Like shedding the emotion I used to let out in that game, remembering and reminding myself. "You've come so far." To anyone close to me now, they'd call me dramatic or wouldn't get the number of hours I dream about this game, wishing to be in those moments again. Where nothing was a worry but finding diamonds before my brothers, where the world was just me. Just me, no one there to yell at me, just humble villagers doing that silly noise. I love it so much, Its all I could ever need, the diamond in the cave, my first iron pickaxe, a wolf to company me. I don't need anything else but to feel the joy of punching my first tree.

I just want toreturn to one of those days when I've been watching Sponge bob on an old boxy computer, when I've downloaded new version of the Minecraft when they added villagers first time ever and we both, my childhood friend and I were scared of them.. hah. There was a water leak at our house and we had to rip the carpet off from the floors. After two days our landlord tells us that we gotta move out because the house needs to be renovated. Its such a tough situation because i got classes and exams going on and its all of a sudden. Here i am listening to this and thinking about all the houses that i have built as a kid and now im here sitting inside a drenched house, waiting to move out to i dont know where... but this playlist is the only thing keeping me sane.

Where I go to be safe

I never usually comment on videos as I usually scroll through comments listening to peaceful music. Yet the way each comment made a bitter sweet feeling of nostalgia and sadness encouraged me to write. I remember minecraft throughout my life as a connection to different important individuals in my life. Whether it be my child hood best friend, who first introduced me to the game. I haven’t seen him in years, not since I moved away. After a couple years of Xbox I got my first computer and discovered the world of servers. This lead me to my favourites including pvp fest, factions and of course minecraft hunger games. After that phase I entered high school and played the game less and less until it was only with my new best friends when they’d come to mine or I’d go to there’s. To be completely honest one of the funniest nights was when we may have smoked a large amount of-… u get the picture. We sat there for hours what we thought was a magnificent grand mansion only to wake up to the sight a dirt structure you could barely call a house. Then I met a girl around grade 11. We dated for a couple years, we sit there all night cuddled up on my couch playing. Once it was pouring rain in winter while we playing, then as it began raining in the game just like this video with the beautiful music in the background everything felt perfect. To be honest she was the creative one in the relationship. While I struggled to build planes (always had a thing for aviation), over time she created a whole world full of sculptures, mansions, simple yet beautiful homes. It’s quite warming how I can relate a game to such important people in my life. Then after school I joined the navy, and we broke up shortly after. And here I am now. Watching this video by accident, bringing back memories that haven’t surfaced in years. I hope who ever reads this knows that no matter what mistake or ‘bad’ thing that happens if life always leads to something great, even if it takes time. Even in minecraft mistakes can lead you from building a house to an aquarium. Maybe when I get leave from work in Christmas I’ll jump on and play for a bit. Till next time.

Sometimes I tend to get tired of adult life. Socialising was one of the hardest arts to learn lately, and taking a short break and listening to something that used to inspire you so much when you were younger just gives that small assurance that everything is going in its own pace and everything will be all right.

This makes me think of one time when it was raining/stormy outside and for some reason (somehow) I ended up sitting out there in one of our outdoor chairs in my multicolored (and only) monster onsie. I sat with my arms on the arm rests, palms up, and my head back. Face towards the sky. Just,, letting the rain fall onto me. It took a while to get to a point where the drops landing on me didn't startle me but once I got there- it- it was so,, nice,, so relaxing... and at the same time.. exhilarating. I grew up with minecraft, and the music has always given me this feeling like my heart's dropped into my stomach, and it makes me feel almost like i cant breathe. it gives me such an overwhelming sense of nostalgia when i listen to it. the funny thing is when i was a kid, and i had just started playing minecraft, i remember the music giving me the same feeling despite being 6-7 years old and not having made the memories i was going to make on minecraft yet. the music is just so powerful and i really cant believe how good it is for this video game.
