im a sym main, but i did my placements with mercy. (placed in silver, got to gold) i made a smurf just to kinda prove myself that im a better symetra and that i shouldnt feel scared to play her in competitive. ill do my placements in that one soon. wish me luck
holy shit. i got placed in Platt. i know its not a big deal. but on m main account im just a shitty gold mercy. i am a proud Platt Symetra, i cant wait for the new season to do my placements again with sym and work harder :D
I feel like people only look at the "aiming" side of characters to determine skill. As a mercy main (I like to play sym a bit as well) I get hate that only comes with reason being "skilless". Skill is range of things and yes aim is one of them but not the only one. Skills are: aiming, listening, patience, position, reacting, teamworking, timing, etc. Saying that much aiming isn't even a 15% of skill!
It's kinda embarrassing when a symmetra player nullifies your raw aiming skills... But then I always get facinated by how much clever this symmetra players are... That's when I realized overwatch is not only about raw skills...
tbh... idc which hero gets picked... if the person can play it... leave the person alone... i actually like it if a sym is in the team and the guy/girl behind sym can play her... lets be honest... it doesnt matter which hero gets picked... there is always some1 who hate it...
I personally like Symmetra, people only complain about her because they get killed by her, but they simply could just, I don’t know, be good enough to avoid her.
I think that it's cool that you got into Masters as Sym. :) But honestly, my 2 favorite clips were the Moira fade out of Shatter and the alt fire with sym and melee on tracer. THAT was skill. I may not know how good your aim is just by watching 1 vid, but hell. Your game sense is GOD like.
I love how people complain about Symm mains, you know she's in the game for a reason just like all the other characters, people need to stop being cry babies and learn how to counter Symm which is pretty easy tho she could be a killing machine :P
Yeah that too, Symm is a great character and is very useful, people try to insult you when you play symm but I am like bitch please, I will destroy you if you don't know how to counter me xD, I am a pretty aggressive symm player and people moan that Symm needs a nerf but she doesn't, she can also shoot through shields which mean that in a lot of maps when they heavily use Orisa/Rein you can wreck their asses but then people complain about Symm
Symmetra gets countered by Roadhog Reinhardt Orisa (Orisa kinda) Winston Tracer (If the Tracer doesn't waste all her blinks and she is not a serious counter though)

I seriously don't understand all the ones that say Symmetra is easy to use and op, like seriously she doesn't require aim, and I agree on that, but you must know how to position yourself and when to ingage in a battle, since most heroes can kill you. I would rather say Sym is in a pretty bad spot now, since she is so easily counterable...
when a DPS main can't kill another character their first line of defense is that the character is "no-skill," "overpowered," and "cancer." lol sounds like they're just mad they can't kill a symmetry at point blank. I think Sym is actually harder to play only because she gets countered so easily especially on attack. You have to really know how to position yourself and turrets as well as the shield gen/teleporter, when to use alt fire, etc. Just because you don't have to aim with Sym doesn't mean she doesn't take any skill lmao.
Honestly, I love off meta mains. I am one, bastion main. And seeing a sym main kick ass always brings a smile to my face. Wish we could play together. I'm in master too. But I'm a console player.

Idk why people have to make fun of each other for their mains. I remember when this game came out and everyone was loud and proud about their main. Overwatch used to be more fun

Symmetra is interesting, I like her because she has her own set of skills, it's not about landing head shots like a widow, but more about playing smart. A bad symm is very easy to counter and would never reach such a high rank. You are truly amazing!

Instead of just complaining, just look at the sense of game and reflexes he has, that's what makes him a good player, he is probably even better at aiming than most people even tho i haven't seen it. Loved the video and excellent song timing :D

That's the queen sym sass I need :3 love ur vids, i got to 3.8k on my sym acc (I'm a 4.1k support player) but it was duped with a gm mercy main and I flexed a lot, I wamma get higher on sym solo q with more playtime :3 she's so fun!
A Symmetra player's main skill isn't killing; it's survival. Ironically, the only tool in Symmetra's kit for surviving, is her shield that flies in a straight line. The rest is down to the player's reflexes, tactical thinking and game sense. However, when you've got the surviving down and manage to get within range of the enemy, you start to microwave faces. The fact that you can also be annoying with creative turret placement is a bonus. :)
Idk why people hate sym on their team so much. Sentries that can stop heroes like tracer and block escape points. Portals that are great for transport of your team to flank a point or clutch overtime. A shield generator that gives you more health. And she can block most ults like a reinheart or orisa. Heck I've tossed that shield up at phara when she rains justice. I make her blow herself up. There is nothing wrong with symetra.
When the enemy team whines about overpowered no skill Sym, I always ask them why no one on their team went Sym. It's always crickets or claims they're too good to play such a no skill hero, or she's boring, lol. Right.
