This song helped me 45 or so years ago when I first heard it in seminary...and still stirs the confirmation of the spirit, that no one is ever alone...we have a Heavenly Father who is aware of us and cares about us.

Your Lord? I believe truly, Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is OUR Redeemer. He didn't just come to reclaim His Bride... He came to Make her Happy again. And How could she Ever be Happy if Jesus wasn't everything She needed, even if she didn't want it, but deep down really did, and felt guilty about it, but still would rather not burn alive than to say she wished she could have picked the other one? Because size is an issue with me. But, only because I led a life of extreme promiscuity, trying to fill the psychological , spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, and also sexual gaps of my life. Which I have been forgiven for, by simply pleading with God to have Mercy on my bruised and broken soul... for I am tempest tossed, and a flawed human being; capable and not immune to all kinds of phenomenon. I love listening to this song. I am not of Mormon faith, but I guess it could be for any religion. I lost my husband 2 years ago, and I thought I was alone. I have gone back to church and realized that I am not alone because God is always with me.

Really needed this song tonight. So much sadness, heartache and loneliness in my life that I have no one to turn too. This song is healing but I ball my eyes out every time I hear it.
I was able to play this song as a missionary, and the lyrics helped me to be able to be able to feel of God's love at a difficult time of life before having to come home and transfer to a service mission.
It touches my heart and soul listening to this song. It made me realized I AM NOT ALONE in the saddest moment of my life right now. Jesus Christ is there lifting me up.

3/22/16 - I first became aware of this touching, inspiring song about 6 months ago and got so excited because I remember John Canaan so well! When he was at BYU years ago he was roommates with my music arranger (David Hasson for my new LDS musical "Starlight and Miracles" premiering in Old Sacramento April 7-18, 2016 at the Delta King Theatre). I attended church with John Canaan in 1982-83 at the LDS church in Studio City Singles. He sold me a little cassette with lots of his great songs when he was singing with my friend Tommy Smyth (who I grew up with in Pasadena) and Kevin McNelly. Those 3 were awesome together!!! I still have that little tape and I still listen to it and enjoy it so much! John's voice is a precious gift from God and he shares it with the world so beautifully. - Janine Boyer Taysom

I must have listened to that blur cassette tape over a thousand times growing up. I can't remember the name of the cassette, but this was the last song on it. And it was exactly what I needed to hear as a kid with severe depression. This helped me hang on when I was at my worst.
The first time I remember hearing it was on a cassette called “My Heavenly Father’s Plan” and it was one of several songs written by Michael McLean that were included on the tape. All of them are fantastic songs.

I love this song, I have a cd with Jay Osmond singing it also, he does a fanstatic job of it too. When I received the cd I was listening to it when the song come up I just skip over it, Well it come back to this song, so I went back to the previous song and it come back to this one. It was like someone told me you have to listen to this song. I listened to it and I cried, I thought how beautiful this is. Now I can't get enough of it.
