There is a third option that you try to stay alive as long as possible and your teammates are going for backstab lurk. So, by the time your teammates come to the site, spike is about to explode and teammates will get 2/3 exit frags and start being toxic.😅

I would add to the video that you can sometimes make an aggressive play with 2 people while combining strong initiation utility to create more space and force attackers to waste utility before pushing into site. Example: Ascent A main - Omen 1 way + blind while Jett is taking A main control and can escape with dash if needed. Of course, this needs coordination and communication which is hard to find in ranked.

your first mistake is that you thinking that you have capable solo queue teammates

seems kind of obvious but so many players push as defenders. I was guilty of it cause I was thirsting for kills when I couldn't consistently get them.

Yeah i sometimes notice (sometimes i do this too so im not blaming) that a single person or 2 people might be on a site, then before the rest of the team can reach the opposite site, they die. And generally only get 1 kill if not any at all. So when the rest of team reaches site, we have to enter site 3v4 or 4v5 with the enemy team knowing well and prepared we are entering site. It makes it harder to win the round. But if the person at the site stalled and just played time, when the rest of the team arrives, the enemy team is more disoriented, unprepared, and distracted by 2 sides. Although sometimes it is hard to stay alive alone on site.

There's also the scenario in which enemy comes from mid, where you take space and hold main, so that enemies only have site to play from.

I try to explain this to my rando teammates without bossing them around and it’s so frustrating 😭

I’ve always operated around the idea that the bombsite itself during a hit is a number. Losing the site means you lose and number and the other team gains a number. Your standard for fights must be higher on defense because the attackers are at an inherent disadvantage while taking the bombsite and going through chokepoints. That being said you are also then at a disadvantage retaking. For perspective, in CSGO only 10% of pro 3v4 retakes are won. Granted in Valorant the numbers might be higher with more potent abilities and weapons but the point still stand that the site itself has inherent value. Also one for one trades favor attackers

This is what I've been telling to my teammates, but my instalock jett and reynas keep running deep into site and get 1v5- by the entire enemy team and die immediately, and then shout "WHERE ARE MY TEAMMATES??" 😭😭

NEVER be content with just killing two, your teammates will choke about 100% of the time

side note: this is if ur team has only 2/3 people, if u have stall util and ur team is rotating you can play a 4v5 which is favored by defenders because of multiple crossfires and stuff

In general, this is good. But sentinels has a different plan. Basically it is, don't die, stall with util, watch out for lurks and try and hold statgetic points over the map. Kills are always good, but not your main goal

Another thing; just because you want to retake does not mean you have to back up into spawn. On bind if they’re all A short you commit to showers and hold it to give the attackers less room to fight, same goes for hookah/long. If you can retake while holding important space that is amazing

I prefer rushing the offense missing every shot not getting a single kill and telling my team the wrong site. I’m somehow bronze 2.

If you can kill 2, try for more, or do one of the other things.

I feel like people decide to play retake way too soon. Youve got enough time to anchor a site on different angles without taking damage and forcing util or damaging opponents while buying time for rotates

whenever I play an anchor on site, and sometimes I'm the only one on site (chamber) let's say in boat house (Ascent) they stack A and one holding mid, so my trip goes on the entrance to B site. So my position was sometimes in boathouse or stairs, and it's a B rush so I was communicating with my teammates saying "it's a B rush!! come on site help me" but! instead of my teammates are gonna start rotating they're just not gonna listen and hold their position until they realize I was dead on site, and the bomb already planted. I'm on bronze elo and man I suck at the game so hard my old friends got out of low elo without me. That's why I quit valorant. I'm not a chill person in game specially when communicating
