To show that the US govt has no ground for truth and transparency. To prove that US is not only complicit but also that the military complex and political parties are running the genocide in gaza and that ISREAL is not a state for the jews people but another big US military base in the middle east with the sole aim to continue terrorism and use it as a means of destabilising and kneeling down governments solely for the sake of so called American interests in the region or spread democracy and freedom. Even if they wanted to finish these assessments, which seems very dubious to me, the reason it's harder to obtain facts is because that is by design. If Israel don't allow foreign journalists in (basically unique in any conflict zone) and deemed any local journalists to be t-ists and therefore push back on any suggestion of using their reporting, then all you have is the word of the IDF. I don't know if you've ever heard of a criminal trial, but a big part of why we have them is because someone who committed a crime is unwilling to admit to their crime without at least having their story seriously questioned. Different story if your ally needs to keep your arms manufacturers profitable at the texpayers' expense, though.
