'You're Welcome' is one of the very FEW songs that terrify me Mostly bc of the meaning behind it and though it sounds kinda upbeat there's this undertone in the lyrics and the way the characters speak that scares me The song doesn't need to have creepy voices or sounds, it doesn't even need to be about anything scary to make it scary... just need to pry into the fears of humankind and you made a scary song

Look male sexual assault is real and it's just as horrifying as the female variant. But this song isn't scary, it goes from "two men who are way bigger and stronger than you who are drunk" to "two overly flirty drunk girls". They don't pose any real threat other than making you feel uncomfortable.

It would actually be intriguing to see girls sexually harrassing a guy in media like this. Sexual harrasment towards guys isn't nearly talked about enough so that'd be interesting to see in an audience.
I'm not even gonna lie, this version actually slaps harder than the original. It is way more jazzy with the girls, and actually was just sung better with a lot of the extra harmonies. I think this song also works better with a genderbent version, being that women are rarely accused of harrassment and men are always expected to "enjoy it," so when they say "you're welcome" it just fits more into place. Gender bend "dead girl walking" needs a little bit of work. I saw a video where they changed the lyrics to where (now male) Veronica is constantly making sure to ask for consent and ensure that it's up to JD if they do it or not 😭still, it's good that way

I love imagining the 'Veronica' in this song is more JD like, acting sort of aggressive during parts like when he says 'you're welcome' the 2nd time or saying 'ACCIDENTALLY sweep the leg' (Maybe this is me just like looking to deep into the singing but I kind of like seeing JD or someone with a similar personality as him in the Veronica role)
I prefer Blue tbh but I really love the message this song portrays. It's nice to see a version where female sa is portrayed, I feel like it's overshadowed way too much

I absolutely love the original, but this version sounds so amazing and strong! Besides that, I think it's cool that some of the lines were changed, you can see that the lyrics were really taken care of

I forever prefer you're welcome to blue. I love the plot more in you're welcome to more, it makes it more terrifying. Blue was kinda just repetitive s3x humor, but then you're welcome is somewhat scary, but the humor is still good!
