How do we approach sexual struggles? You say it’s about “Jesus plus nothing”, but what about repentance? And what about hypergrace?

Identity truths - the key!! Long ago I heard "keep your eyes on Jesus" and thought "well, yeah, obviously". It took a long time but I finally learned to do that and keep it about Him not about me and my sin management. A person on a balance beam cannot focus on falling.

Mr Farley wishing things were different aren't going to change deeply enmeshed addictions mate. It's not fair in addicts and those who struggle with sin ...to tell them they are righteous..?? C'mon mate. I do agree with you on the grace of God and Christ...but I don't think you really understand our struggle 🙏

I struggled with this sin for many years. I asked Jesus to take it away, and he did. I encourage anyone who struggles with this to pray. He will do it. I still struggle with anger outbursts and occasional profanity. I struggle with other sins as well. Mostly selfish sins and sins of vanity. I have many horrible sins from my past. I often struggle with thoughts of condemnation.

Hello my friend. What I hope will encourage you is that if you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. He took away all your sins, past present and future. Blessed is the man whose sins are forgiven! Andrew has a video called "God says" which I believe is the 1st and second in the series that talks about the finished work of Christ. Just ask the Holy Spirit to give you a revelation of how efficient his work was. As far as the struggles you still have with certain sins. There's good news! We who are in Christ have been freed from sins power! Our old self was crucified along with Jesus, and we were raised along with him to new life in him. So we can say sin no longer has power over me. And we can reckon ourselves alive in Christ. We can take hold of the truth that now we're a child of God and Jesus did the work to render sin powerless over us. My friend please read Romans 6. And ask the Holy Spirit for understanding of what it truly means to be dead to sin and alive in Christ. You'll start to understand that sin can no longer control you. I'll make another post with some of the verses to encourage you but it's best to read it in its entirety.

Romans 6 Easy-to-Read Version Dead to Sin but Alive in Christ 6 So do you think we should continue sinning so that God will give us more and more grace? 2 Of course not! Our old sinful life ended. It’s dead. So how can we continue living in sin? 3 Did you forget that all of us became part of Christ Jesus when we were baptized? In our baptism we shared in his death. 4 So when we were baptized, we were buried with Christ and took part in his death. And just as Christ was raised from death by the wonderful power of the Father, so we can now live a new life. 5 Christ died, and we have been joined with him by dying too. So we will also be joined with him by rising from death as he did. 6 We know that our old life was put to death on the cross with Christ. This happened so that our sinful selves would have no power over us. Then we would not be slaves to sin. 7 Anyone who has died is made free from sin’s

A great sermon to listen to would be Who Are You The Truth About Self Flesh and Sin. It's here on RU-vid and God has used it to really solidify how effective Jesus works have been. My friend it's like being in a cage with the door open. You may have been believing that you can't get out of that cage. But you only need to walk through it by faith. You can trust that sin really no longer has power over you. We really can embrace our new lives in him.

if a man can not not be n= married his desires can not be prayed away. Faith does not cancel the desires God created. That's a no win situation millions of men are in and no pastor has ever addressed that reality. There is no gift of celibacy, it's a curse without a cure. Could a person sop eating all food if it was sinful to eat? of course not. my answer for a single man who can't marry is to pray for death, only that will end your sin.
