Also, you need to let go of L2 before you hit R1. So the sequence is, hold L2 until skating backwards, hold forehand, let go of L2, and then slightly press R1. I also find that right before you let go of L2, start turning a little and then let go and R1, seems to work better.

1:49 to 1:52 Carpig I'm not sure if you know this but another tip is if you hold/tap "X" for a small amount of time and then hold "L2" and letting go of "X" while you're "L2ing" you're skaters back will always face to the center of the ice no matter what hand you are or side you're on

What controls are players spamming on defense that makes my controller vibrate and they essentially render my stick useless? They almost always end up with the puck. It’s not just holding A on Xbox because mine doesn’t do anything unless I’m up against the boards. There are times where they’ll spam those buttons with no one in the area and my guy won’t even be able to grab the puck in open space. It’s definitely a glitch. Thanks for the help.

Im confused. Your player is by himself with no defender around? What makes you think the defense is doing it? Are you sure you arent getting poke checked? Poke checks are very realistic in this game unlike some others

If you are a serious player at any game. You learn what works, and you master it. Plan and simple, if you think playing what you guys like to think is "Real Hockey" with your low percentage Point Shots, Rebounds and Tip ins go nuts... Just don't expect to be top 100. Also there is a skill to everything, learn these and try out in game. I promise you it's harder than you think to imply these in game..

@@CarPig I mean yeah you’re being helpful to the people who are a little bit more inexperienced but 2/3 of these have been in the game for years and the people who aren’t as inexperienced like myself have seen these since like NHL 18 or 19; it’s just a bad look for the game unless you’re playing at a level where these can actually be useful
