Update of using grease for 4 months: Shorter routine meaning less manipulation. Let go of unnecessary products overtime. Now left with the basics that work. No more knots. It feels strange not to see knots in my 4c hair. Even visible knots just undid themselves like magic by separating strand by strand. Never happened to me!!! And only once a knot could not be undone and I snipped it like I saw you do in one of your videos. A little sacrifice instead of ripping at it and causing breakage. Gained and retained length😱 Hair is moisturized for longer. I saw coils!🙈 I love my hair now we no longer fight🤣. Conscious Journey to 4c hair mastery Little to no shedding on protective style take down days. Before there was clumps of hair in the shower. Thank you for your videos they are the truth!!

Update!!! So my husband just washed my hair before I tried your method without the conditioner and using grease to condition my hair instead I asked him had he noticed less shedding he said "yes you were having clumps of hair coming out and you barely had any this time" I am thankful for you!!! And so now I'm like yes length retention!!! My hair is extremely thick but it was also easy to detangle like literally it just made it so smooth

I used to get my hair pressed every two weeks grease and water only Don't remember nothing else and never had even heard of heat damage till the last couple of years I believe we were doing it correctly but got lost somewhere in between.. as kids majority of us had healthy growing hair using grease and water till we starting doing things on our own Grease and water has always been my friend 🤗

@@lorealluv Helps clarify the residue out that some shampoos don't get. Especially if you have a lot of oil buildup from curl cream. You only need about half a teaspoon mixed with your shampoo. Not too much or it will be too dry afterwards. Stabilizes your pH balance like the ACV rinse.

Hey! Love your videos! Could you make a video on tips with how to manage those small pieces of breakage that often come up from normal handling of the hair. Prepping the hair does help minimize it but would you recommend every now and then that naturals get a protein treatment or something to combat this? Thanks!
@oladayooladele7099

henna treatments could help for strengthening hair .
@cfoster6804
@cfoster6804 3 года назад
My small pieces of broken hair came after doing a henna treatment. I've been using henna on and off for years and never had that reaction. My strands feel significantly weaker after that treatment and my strands are already fine as it is. I bought from a reputable source but was my first time using Rajasthani henna so I don't know. I went to TJ Maxx yesterday and saw the Joico K-pak line. I used to use Joico products years ago and they were very good at strengthening. I'm going to use that line again and see if I can salvage some of this mess. I'm going to have to trim now too. Smh.

If I still notice some greasy feeling after washing my hair, do you think liquid Castile Soap can really help clear residue off my hair? Or do you think it’s a good idea to use a clarifying shampoo? And I heard with using Castile Soap to wash your hair, you have to use something else like a moisturizing shampoo afterwards so your hair will not be dry.
@mrs.mississippi5035
@mrs.mississippi5035 2 года назад
Hi! You may be putting too much grease on your hair. And yes, please follow up with a moisturizing shampoo after using that soap/shampoo. When you figure out the correct amount of grease that works for your hair? You should be able to rid of it with the moisturizing shampoo.
