Christian life demands that you forget yourself, die that Christ my be seen, the metaphor is of a father for his family or mother for her child, parents can easily relate, because they experience first hand what giving up personal interest and priorities for the good of others (family) looks like, even when it requires putting their lives on the line...
That’s pretty much the cost of following Jesus ..he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died... 2Cor 5:15...

👆🏼those for a moment seems so enjoyable but that’s not how we learned Christ, they are a clear indication that we live for our flesh and the author of those things the devil, they disconnect us from the life of Christ and the hope of life eternal...

I know the life of Christ is easier said than lived, however he promised ”I will send you a helper John 16:7, John 14:15-17bI will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you! Jhn 14:18...What a friend that sticks so close!
👌🏽It all begins with a realization that you and I are not doing a good job being own Lords following the passions of the flesh, and the lust of our eyes. We are at our best today but tomorrow we screw up big time. Look up to him look to Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith
