When I saw nearly 2 hours I figured that might be the case. Only just started watching/listen

they had a fantastic match in the Tokyodome a true all time classic. This was a tv match worked around commercials. It was still a very good match just not great/moty contender people wild expect. The FD match was also fantastic until Danielson literally broke his arm.

@@mathewritacco5482 To be fair I enjoyed but wasn't blown away by that match, I still feel like they could both have a better match on their best day but I don't know if they still have their best days in them, its all opinion based anyway

have you watched AEW from All In until Dynamite 5? that was only 40 days and contained several all time segments promos and matches as well as many good to great moments/matches stories. the hyper online twitter brained fanbase is what needs a reset as the claws are in deep and the bottomless pit of consuming/next mindset has rotted many a brain. See Sidgwick now making depressed tweets about rampage and collision spoilers without even watching. if you bring a folded arms impress me I am here to jadedly consume mindset than that is the reality you will live in. for me wrestling is inherently flawed. there is no weekly wrestling show that has hit higher more often than Dynamite in history over 5 years and I like pro wrestling despite its flaws therefore I watch Dynamite with a smile laugh at the bad stuff and sit back in the comfort that outside of terrible luck AEW has almost always rewarded me as a viewer.

Wrestledream is specifically meant to be like Forbidden Door, a cross promotion event.

Every point they make is valid, I pretty much agreed for a 5 yr anniversary show it was very mid.

@Ginric99 I personally thought the show was good. It just seems like they don't like aew anymore or they like wwe more which makes it seem like they have to talk about it, not that they want to. They used to want to talk about aew now just seems like they don't like it. It's just my opinion. I started watching these guys when aew started and they seemed to be "all elite" now they just kinda make it seem like a aew is a joke or something

@@martymedina7034 yes Hamflet and the ginger one genuinely love WWE even when it was bad they ironiclly or not loved the bad stuff now that its watchable they go overboard and sneakily put down AEW under a facade of good faith. Sidgwick hates WWE hates NJPW and is too self loathing and pedantic and twitter brained to not give 5 critiques for every 1 thing he praises AEW for and he is the “pro AEW” voice. They also watch the shows at 5 in the morning before work. Hamflet often on his phone. Its too bad because Sidgwick could be a great critic if he wasnt so depressive in his analysis. I still watch because they are very good talkers and very good at breaking things down. its just the wrestling fan in them that gets in the way. they also fundamentally misunderstand AEW ticket sales and popularity and how certain american cities are just not hot for this kind of wrestling and for three years now have been caveating everything in AEW with until its hot again the power wont be back not understanding how juiced the attendance was in 2021 early 2022 by hitting big markets for the first time and a post pandemic rush of live events. they also misremember that AEW never had 7k people every week and that with more PPVs nearly one a month and two touring brands the ticket sales are actually the same but spread out and only slightly diluted. Again I enjoy them but they have so many blind spots including how they try and stand up for the women’s division as a cover for the fact that they actually shit on the performers themselves. their ladies night game is such a male feminist cover for frankly being sexist. Good stuff but they are a frustrating listen for these reasons. they struggle to balance pedantic specific objective critique with personal a fan boy this is what I want point of view.

Matt Hardy took on Private Party insisting he could help them get to the next level, he pushed for them to work with him, the result, they became a nothing entity and lost all the early drive they had.

think of all the great matches with stakes that delivered from All In to now and realize that is the last 40ish days of AEW. Then realize how silly it is to judge AEW and say it needs to change based on one match among all of those. Again this is only a 40 day period and that sum is what AEW is not the pedantic picking apart a single segment that was not blow away great on a episodic tv show that these lads watch at 5 in the morning on their phones that we are listening to hear. Its a denial of reality mot opinion because I can make clips of these three praising dozens of matches promos segments in AEW over the last again 40 days to prove that they are a bit of a bottomless pit/black hole and hey its a job for them but again this is not my opinion this is their own words and them not realizing that when they get into the minutia they are not even recognizing their own takes have been overwhelmingly positive so then it makes you wonder why is Dynamite held to such a sky high standard? Its a weekly wrestling show and a very good one for 5 years now. Not easy to do.

Good crowd size for Dynamite but yes...wasn't a great crowd and a lot of moments that were meant to get a reaction did not. Disappointing episode.

I thought the crowd was alright for most of this. I was loving the first hour of the show and then it lost its way for me.
