I'm honestly baffled by how C!Sam still thinks all that bad shit he's done is justified Despite it all though, he's still a character I still symphatize with, I feel like ever since he's been the prison keeper, he was probably so determined to keep Dream inside that I think he's forgotten the reason why they kept him there in the first place... Just like Ranboo said that there is stuff that people went through things that make them like that and he's had to deal with almost being infected by the egg, Tommy's death(he still blames himself for that), people depending on him too much for being the Warden I know why Ponk is still angry, Sam haven't really changed alot but I don't see why we'd blame Sam for the escape, he knew how seriously he took it and probably knew he tried his best to keep Dream inside but kind of just ignored that (HHHHHHHHH, brain is dead but I'm still taking the time to write all this shit I'm not even sure is even right)

Omg, I forgot Ponk’s chat was lemons- they are so cute! And Ponk just carefully placing one of them in the basket even while he’s angry is so sweet! They looked so cute even though they were angry XD The flashbacks got me, it was so sad. T-T Ponk saying he won’t be there to help Sam, Ponk seeing the old Sam when he said he would kill him, and when they were both just sitting there together with Fran. CHAT INTERACTING WITH EACHOTHER! It was all, so amazing. Poor Sam at the end.

I was really upset at sam for Ranboo's death. Still am, but I think everyone's blaming Sam for Dreams escape. When it was Techno, and the rest of the Syndicate. Not Sams fault. Sam is at fault for Ranboo's death. Because he wanted Dream back in the prison. The Man Spent everyday trying to make sure he didn't escape. Then Getting the blame when Dream did Escape, That would be Pressure and Guilt all up in its own. Not forgetting That everyone(a lot of people) was being Toxic in Sams chat when he did the stream in the prison when Dream came in. It was split up into so many sections it was either "YOU DESERVE IT" or "wether or not, I still like his character." and other things. That hurt.

yes!! i love hearing ponk raise his voice, he sounds so genuine, less strained than he used to be. compared to sam, who has all but shut down and can barely mumble an argument. your expressions and body language reflect that really well and makes this scene all the more hurtful.

Especially with the fact these two characters wear masks yet you can tell just how upset Ponk is, and how stubborn Sam is, it's always such a treat seeing your animatics And "I will be angry. I'm allowed to be angry." will always be a quote that I cherish from Ponk immediately followed by "i hope you stub your toe >:("

I know literally nothing about the c!Sam lore apart from the fact that he's the Warden of the prison and he took Ponk's arm for an unknown reason to me but watching this has really enlightened me on some more of the lore and low-key made me cry-

god, these two are really one of those cases of "opposites attract". The fact that sam has justified everything bad he's done as "a means to an end" & despite that the ONLY bad thing Ponk can wish on him is that he hopes he "stubs his toe" just really shows how drastically different their views are. And it's just. Oh, my god. This is some heart crushing stuff.

0:33 This is the part I am intrigued by. C!Sam's right here. Dream indeed, did not escape by himself. And yet Ponk, along with many others, blame Sam despite Sam's actions keeping Dream in the prison like he said. It was bcuz of Techno that Dream got out at all. I feel like this is the same thing that happens with villains and heroes in media. A villain does something bad, the audience doesn't blink an eye. But someone who appears to be a hero doing smth bad and it's all the outrage. Despite how much people seem to think of Sam as a villain (even tho he's just a very well-written morally grey character), they judge his actions by a hero measurement. Sam views himself that way and how you view yourself impacts how others view you. So yeah, Sam has absolutely fucked up, but it is not his fault for Dream's escape. He's done many bad things, and he needs to learn to see that they weren't justified despite how much he thinks they are, but he's still a person with good intentions. Just bad execution that's worsened through his mental decline as the job of warden overtook his life. Sorry for that mini rant but oh my stars!!! Grimm you've done it again~ That animatic was so good!!! I love how, despite the fact they're both masked, you can clearly see their emotions through their eyes, body language and eyebrows alone! That's impressive and so so cool. I had, with most things, no idea this argument existed but boy am I glad I got to find out and watch it through you. I've just had a realization. C!Sam is a paragon. He is going to do what he thinks is right, and has no qualms against hostile action if it gets what he thinks is right done. Hence why he just can't see himself in the wrong at all, everything was justified in his quest to do what's right.
