@@BaronVonTacocat I'd turned Autoplay off months ago, and now it has started again out of the blue, so found my way here. I've got your situation - the Autoplay switch (slider) only appears when I open YT in a new browser window (and it's defaulting to off). My question is how to fix all the YT windows I already have open, where the switch doesn't appear (and it has apparently been reset to on). I wonder if there's a way to set the RU-vid global state to turn off autoplay, maybe with something like Chrome's flags, command line switches, or the Chrome shell? I have hundreds of tabs open in Chrome in Win10 with a lot of them open to RU-vid; I wonder if there's some memory issue affecting YT? (And, yes, I should figure out a more effective data management technique than keeping tabs open.)
@@openhorizon1162 My situation has resolved; although autoplay is set to true by default..... If you are still having issues, I'd try restarting browser and turning off autoplay on the first thing you watch.
Try another browser? It should be there, I just checked Firefox, Edge & Chrome on my Windows 10 Desktop. It appeared in all applications. Are you using Windows 11 by any chance?
Quick follow up on this: turning the button On has reset this for me, as I wanted it. But when I went back to the videos I was watching, the button disappeared. So it really wasn't anywhere to be found until I came upon this video.
I watch from a windows desktop , if you are using another device that may be the problem. A few people have reported the same and there are some suggestion under "@bwest-yq3uc" comment below. If the suggestion resolves your issue I'd like to know, I probably need to pin some current valid tips for others. Thanks
Google hid it, I contacted chat support and pretty much blew me off, as if I didn't know what I was taking about, In other words, they didn't want to admit they removed it.
