Hello! I have been a fan for a while; and have lived in LA and Malibu (just having moved to Orange County a year or so ago). I am such a fan of all vintage cars; and find myself inspired by both of you to take on my own project: I am turning 15 in three months. I would love to meet you sometime! Thanks for the videos!

Happy to! Thanks for the support, get your friends in on it too, doing a project with friends is how we did it (not to say you can’t on your own)… let us know if you want any advice! Could be a good episode idea… we’ll think on it

@@limit55 Thanks a lot! I guess my first question would be: "Which car is a good car to work on?" My fathers got a few old cars: a Morris Mini, a 1948 Willy, a Fiat 500 (or 600; I haven't seen it in a while), and a few trucks and dump trucks (50s-60s). I thought that I would start by working on one of these; and do so at his office/warehouse. Its pretty hard to get over there (downtown La; its an hour drive, or so); and to do so every time I needed to work on it would slow the process down a lot! Though, if I bring it to the house that we are living in (Newport Beach), then I hardly have any space at all! I have just met a new pal who works on cars; but I hardly think that he would allow me to park my car in his garage. So, is it better to get all the big-stuff down at the office/warehouse; and then maintain it at the house? They all run; except for dead batteries, oil, a bit of rust here and there... Thanks a lot for responding: it has made my week! 😄

@@booshkoosh7994 Morris MINI. Fun cars, easy to work on and unlimited parts resources. And they are small enough for most work spaces or hiding under a tarp, and the real bonus, easy to push : ) Do a search for Moss Motors in Goleta near Santa Barbara and Mini Mania.

I have been getting quite a bit of vicarious enjoyment out of your program as I learned to drive on my mothers 1961 MGA in 1963 and enjoyed the car until 1969. You have rekindled a lot of my memories and we share similar experiences with this great car. I think it may be time to get another roadster. Thanks

You give an old Brit car owner hope for the future of these cars. I arrived in Southern California in 1970. At that time the landscape was littered with Brit cars in backyards, driveways and daily use. I picked up my first Bugeye for $150 running with a factory hardtop. That car taught me how to work on cars much like you. You had to learn patience and above all, if it's hard to do, you're doing wrong. Today I live in the Inland Empire here in California with a restored Bugeye (1275/Datsun trans), a 1969 MGBGT and a BN2 restoration that is about half way through. Today at 72 years old, I still get a kick out of these cars. Keep up the video work and longer videos with a little more detail would be great. Just a fan.

I love the mix of brit car wrenching and transcendentalism on this channel. 🙂 👍👍

I was at my wit's end, the insane commute, unfriendly work environment was too much, but I drove a mountain pass on the way home, so I finally just rolled down my windows and breathed, 6 months later my stress was gone and I was happy again.

Excellent.. Came over from Jay Leno's channel. Liked and subscribed. I have owned about 30 Brit cars since 1964, currently a 1963 MGB. For over 40 years I drove year round when I lived in Pacific Grove on the Monterey Peninsula. Now in So Oregon... about 300 days a year.. I hold the line at ICE.

We need to appreciate what we have, even simple acts such as our daily commute. Instead of focusing on our fellow commuters, roll down the window and enjoy the plants, streams and geology we are driving through. Harry Truman loved to drive but had to give it up after stepping down from presidency because of the traffic jams his presence would trigger. I love the secondary roads here in Colorado because of details revealed as I pass through.
