One of my favorite percussion sounds, or two of them really, is hitting the mic with your hand, and using the cardboard tube from a paper towel roll to hit something. The two sounds work even better together!

This is one of my favorite techniques in music. I have only made one song with my DAW because i can't focus but hocketing with the instruments is a feature
