I remember being around a Vet castrating a young Colt we had and watching a young farm hand who unexpectedly became a cautionary tale about never standing around with your mouth open gawping as the Vet popped a just removed Gonad in this poor kids mouth :-) Farm shenanigans, Its a thing :-)

It's not if I catch fire it's a matter of when I catch on fire. That's why I wore 40 pounds of gear.

The freest I've ever felt was riding a retired gray gelding with long legs who had a mind of his own. He was an old race horse that the farm down the road boarded and rented out for 5 bucks an hour. We were free roam of the fields. The corn fields out side of the pasture. It was beyond the moat that I had to jump, and past the broken fence. It was worth the walk to get there. It was worth the harry eyeballs I received when I came back and the fella was wet. It was also worth the walk to get back. What it wasn't worth was the loss of it. The memory of the freest I've ever felt when I was living in Carper Housing. Va. beach Va. Funny. My mom always said I was a fish. What I didn't know was that I was a home for one. Harry the fish. Strawberry pickin' and all.

I don’t raise cows or race cars but I get it and think America needs more of us. I raise sheep, chickens, rabbits and bees for honey…though there’s not much honey in sheep, chickens and rabbits…but if you need fertilizer? I’m your man. And I know EXACTLY what it’s like to breed large sheep and be elbow deep in an animal that needs my help.
