Doug Wilson spoke at Charlie Kirk's Believers' Summit hosted by TPUSA Faith in West Palm Beach in July. This video is brought to you by Real American Voices. Find out more about TPUSA FAITH here: tpusafaith.com/
I'm a fan because they are activists, and his political assessments are generally spot on. His theology would not be mine, but he's an incredible young man. So happy he invited Doug. The post-mill perspective is becoming respected within Christianity again, praise God. I only just embraced it two years ago.
Kirks brand relies on smash cuts designed to humiliate people who disagree. It's a low effort approach, throwing red meat at people who already agree. Much like sarcastic left wing interviewers at Trump rallies who broadcast only the most unflattering bits. Wilson comes off as more honest and courageous because he debates in good faith and allows people of a different perspective to have their say. I'd like to see Charlie develop into a more confident and charitable speaker rather than just chasing doomscroll clicks as he does now. I believe he has that potential.
@@danelmendorf5765 well and he’s hilarious. Godly, reverent- yes of course. But also hilarious. He seems like the best man. I really enjoyed his documentary “Collision”, highly recommend.
@@GarrettFemisteryou do realize the Scriptures both give us ample examples and commands to encourage one another? Also, preaching is also exhortation and encouragement? Don’t be too rigid.
Lol… ‘new found fame’…Apart from small changes over time, which are truly natural, Doug hasn’t changed in 40 years…today, and 40 years ago, his PRIMARY ROLE is Shepard of Christ Church Moscow…the fact the culture is only recently paying attention to him doesn’t make him, or his ‘fame’ new…I’ve been reading Doug’s works for over 20 years, discovered him first in Table Talk magazine many years ago…
@@andrewbrowne5557 I, too, have followed Doug since the 90’s. My parents, from Deary, Idaho, went to his church. I’m so very thankful that he is able to exploit his freshly discovered notability (is that better?) for the glory of God. Remember, it was not too long ago that Wilson was a pariah, even within the conservative, evangelical world.
@@user-xq2bm3nq8y yeah, he used to be a pariah for the racist views he expressed in his book about slavery in the south - but Charlie Kirk and other white supes are more than happy to embrace that
We live in Gods history - He is The Alpha & The Omega. No beginning & no end. He is eternal. No need for anxiety whe you realize and accept His mercy and His grace. No need for anxiety if you are In Christ. Thank You Father for giving us Your Son as a propitiation for my/our miserable sin.
Absolutely fantastic, Pastor Doug, my friend. It is an honor to have been to Christ Church twice in the last two years, and I will have cigars with you someday. I am Dr. DB Palmer, and we are brothers.
@@th6252I can see where you're coming from, and I doubt Doug would like that language, but it's ok to refer to someone as a modern day prophet, or to describe them as being prophetic. The word itself just means "one who speaks forth", so there's no real harm there. And to be a prophet is to be one who speaks for God. So as long as we aren't attaching any weird, extra-biblical definition to it, it's ok. In this video, Doug is calling the hearer to worship the Lord with joy in the face of uncertain times, warning us not to respond sinfully, and calling those who far off to repent and follow the living God. That's what the prophets of the OT did. I can see where you'd want to be cautious, but I think the OP's statement is applicable.
Very happy seeing Pastor Doug preach it at a political event! I'm hoping I am alive to see the end of this losing battle which will not be lost, or at the least, that my children will see it. 13:00 - Love the very clear directives on how we go forward!
Wow!! Awesome preaching Pastor Doug! May millions hear this fantastic talk and hear the Gospel, and be encouraged by the tasks he shared!! Love seeing Pastor Doug being platformed by such well known groups -- may more learn from him. Get your kids out of government schools. Stop looking at porn. We are assigned to THIS hour!! Let's Go!! Thank you Jesus. The joy of the Lord is our strength!
I am grateful for the clear presentation of the Gospel of grace! Pastor Wilson never shies away from acknowledging God as the Sovereign Lord of the universe. My deep appreciation to this humble, courageous servant of God!
Thank You, God for Pastor Doug Wilson! You made him for such a time as this. Please bless him and his family, and bring revival and reformation to this nation and every heart within it…In Jesus’ Name.
Dragons are opportunities for great courage. The key to cultural victory isn't the sleek marketing, it's not the rhetoric per say, it's not the new mics/opportunities, though praise God for all of it. Truly, it's faithful plodding - God honoring the precise application of his own speech, copiously, continually, pouring out of our fingertips, our families, and our fellowship before God at his Table and as his Kingdom. When he speaks through his ministers, hearts harden, mountains split, and fire falls on the altar, and we get people who are born again. Without that miracle by the Spirit and Word, we're dead men building tombs. Godwilling, this'll continue helping the people of God to preach and practice the Gospel in everyday faithfulness. Praise God for Doug continuing to model honoring God front and center. Conversion and renewal is the heartbeat of lasting political reformation and institutional recapture, rennovation, and new works. Romans 8:31. Who shall we fear? Why should we live back into the ways of old dead men? Isn't the joy of the Lord our strength?
@@CanonPress I’m a born-again Christian, and I absolutely put Christ above all things, this isn’t meant in an idolatrous way: but this reply just made my DAY!! I’m sure it’s probably someone who manages Doug’s account, but COOL. I’m an independent Baptist, but me and my friend I grew up with there- we call ourselves “secretly undercover Presbyterians”. My Presbyterians (other than Knox, naturally) are RC Sproul and Doug Wilson; hers are RC and Tim Keller- but I’ve shared a ton of Doug with her. Thank you for making my day, God bless you and your love for our Holy Father!🙏🏻
Thank you, @turningpointusa , for inviting Pastor Doug! Thank you, Pastor Doug. This was so encouraging. I've been drowning in despair after 15 years of no full time work, 7 of those dealing with my dementia ridden mother until her death last year, dealing with an elderly father and his hospitalizations, 2 years alone during Covid, losing my church both to wokeness and during Covid, plus dealing with the insanity of this world. I've often wondered how I'm even still standing at all. The only thing I want in this world is to live for Jesus Christ. But it's so hard, when I haven't seen my place or what I am to do. I have felt like I've been drowning, for years.
May the LORD comfort you, strengthen you, & correct you where need be, place you in a strong assembly of believers with whom you can worship Him, fellowship, & serve His body.
Amen. This is the kind of Christian leadership we need in this hour. Not the compromising willy nilly big eva playing patty cake with progressive Christianity and making excuses for voting Democrats into government offices.
INCREDIBLE speech from Pastor Wilson! You know Trump was borderline idolized in this event, so it was wonderfully refreshing to hear him say that God is our ultimate hope, not Trump. End Christless conservatism!
Some sage advise for our time. Unlike Peter in the boat, the waves WILL roar, but if our focus is ultimately on Jesus, you will not sink, you will be saved.
Like Esther, God placed us here and now "for such a time as this." (Esther 4:14b) We have to engage, be involved for Christ, and let our sovereign God direct history as He wishes (not as we wish). That may include loss, suffering and great difficulty for us believers in Christ. I'm willing; He is worth it! If we really believe Romans 8:28, then "everything works together for good for those who love God and are called according to HIS purposes."
I was really surprised when I found out that Pastor Wilson was not only invited to this event but spoke at it. So many of the "pastors"/"church leaders" that participate in this event are highlighted in the discernment ministry YT channels I follow and rightfully so. So I'm glad to know there was at least one speaker that I know is faithfully Biblical and handles God's word rightly. And his comments were spot on and VERY encouraging.
