I believe the ‘knife in the watermelon’ easteregg at the beginning was a reference to Cod 4 where Gaz tells you to knife a watermelon and proceeds to compliment your fruit-killing skills.

I sometimes record tutorial videos as part of my job and I do exactly the same thing - repeating myself and talking to my future self what to cut and what to keep. so nice to see Jack do the same thing. respect, that’s a tough job and to maintain the quality even harder
