Hi Janice wouldnt it be more healthier and cheaper for you to stick your meat birds and your half cows you buy?Instead of buying sooo much meat from the stores? You also know what is going into your meat when you use your own meat birds etc.congrats on very near 30k subbys 🎉🎉

I shopped that same week (don't have a 10 box) and I saved $47.17 off $168 purchase. WooHoo!!!! My best savings in a year. I did go to Aldi and bought some of the same items you did. The Kroger 18 ct eggs I did buy one for baking. I usually buy eggs from a chicken farmer friend. I cannot eat stored bought eggs as a fried, boiled or poached egg. I love your videos. It makes me so happy that someone else does their homework. Well done, Janice!

Janice, I’ve sent At least 1 email but I thought I had sent two with a question concerning your items you profit on Amazon (at this time I can’t recall if the topic was in its own email or in an email amongst other chat topics) BUT anyway, on my end it shows you’ve not responded. If you ever find German "Saitenwürstchen" or "Wienerwürstchen you can make a German dish called Linsen mit Würstchen und Spätzle. (Lentels with Sausage and Spätzle. ) The lentels are seasoned with vineger, salt and pepper, some people put in a bit of broth and onions and a few small cut carrots. I like them plain only with vineger, salt and pepper.

There is no tax on necessary groceries. We usually have higher prices on meat, though. Rather pay taxes and get cheaper prices. Hamburger meat is $8.99/# right now. Walmart meat is not our favorite. Did find 88%/12% hamburger in our closest big town and bought almost 13 pounds of meat. I plan to can part of it as hamburger and part as vegetable beef soup. Thanks to y’all and Little Mountain Ranch, I have more courage to can meat now.

My grocery shopping routine is to do a biweekly grocery order from Walmart for staples and toiletries. Weekly I then shop sales and pick up fresh fruit and dairy. Monthly total comes to around $1000. It includes all our necessities though. We are a family of 4 and we don’t eat fancy and always go for the generic brands. Maybe I can get this down a bit.

I love your show. I learn so much. I was excited when you said Sarah was going to pickle watermelon rind. I bought some at an Amish store and enjoyed it so much. I will never put it in jars like you do Sarah. I have never done that but I could just make a little for a treat. Great Job Sarah. You are going to have too much food eventually. I do not have these large chain stores as an option where we live. We live in a city that the government blocked large grocery chain competition from coming into the city. Since then the local chain has sold to Albertsons. Albertsons does not have good deals. We do have Walmart and Sams club as our only option along with that local chain now owned by Albertsons. I do my best to budget within these stores. I spend about $700 a month for our family of 5. We have plenty to eat but I don’t stock up, can, or garden like you do.

What an awesome job! Your family definitely eats well. Thanks for sharing and taking all the extra time to create video content. I also shop at Kroger but I am single. I do share food and prepared food this week for family and visitors of a friend who is in her last days on hospice care. I took advantage of the Kroger sales on cheese, grapes, eggs and mark down produce. Because of my physical limitations I place a pickup order for the non-perishable items which were more than normal this week because of the food I mentioned preparing for someone else. Then I went inside for the produce and perishable items. I found amazing deals on markdown produce on sweet snacking peppers, zucchini, yellow squash and cauliflower. My store bags them up into red mesh produce bags and sells them for 99 cents per bag. I weighed the bags just to kind of get an idea of what good deals I was purchasing. I should stop at Aldi and get some of the pasta substitutes that you purchased as I need to eat low carb. I also have several fall squashes that I got last week at Kroger for the red bag 99 cents. I'm going to cook spaghetti squash and use it as pasta as well. The awesome deals make me happy also!

😮😮❤I spend $100 a week for 2 and this includes household products (non food). We have at least one meatless meal on Fridays. We only have Kroger and Wal-Mart. Kroger sells get confusing for me. Thank you for sharing your haul and all your wonderful tips.

On the shelf staple milk from Dollar Tree is it good past the expiration date as if used for emergency preparedness it might expire before using as at my store the date usually isnt too far out from expiring even when purchased/ Thank you.

Eggs are outrageous! I stock up when Kroger has them on sale every 2-4 weeks. I buy virtually the same items each week, and have noticed a 3-5% increase each week.

My Kroger sells the shaved steak in 28 ounce package which goes on sale for around $8 quite often. Sometimes I can find them marked down as well.

Janice next time you do your Sam's Haul get their Rotisserie Chickens they are $4.98 regular price every day no limit on how many you can buy.. take them home and freeze them, Krogers full price? That's crazy and they aren't as big as Sam's Club. I buy 4 a month when I go every month so convenient. Anna In Ohio
