I haven't seen anyone bake like this since my grandmother. She passed away when I was 15. Thank you for the video to help me remember this important person and for me to start doing the same.

Another great video Suzy! By the way have you ever eaten sourdough bread. It’s my absolute favorite type of bread. You make it with your own homemade sourdough starter. When you are not busy😂 you should try it.

If you store yeast in the freezer, it lasts for at least a couple years (or more). You don't have to do anything special before using it, just use it straight from the freezer. I bake bread and buy yeast by the pound and do this.

It's fun to see that even though I discovered your channel recently and that every video RU-vid recommends I end up watching, you still learn (eg the yeast incident) that's encouraging because I'm not yet a mum but I had this pressure of I'm supposed to know recipes offhead. Binge watching your videos has been amazing, and are rewatchable even when I'm settled in 2-4 years to come when I want to remember a recipe or want to recreate a dish. ❤
thank you sooooo much I have been trying all kinds of chocolates just to get the taste of the donut glazing I used to eat in my childhood but couldn't get the exact same taste now I know its not any melted chocolate rather icing sugar and milk and now I wonder what a fool I was
Interesting that your "pigs in a blanket" are the American style (as you said crescent style dough & pre buying it in cans which are available in North America but not U.K.and Ireland) vs British isles pigs in blankets which are mini sausages wrapped in bacon then cooked - theyre a major part of Christmas but are also found as finger foods at parties. We do have"sausage rolls" which is raw sausage meat (ground/ minced pork seasoned with herbs and spices) wrapped in puff pastry aebaked in the oven till meat is cooked and pastry is golden brown and flaky. New subbie, this is the third video ive watched in a row sibe yt recommended me your channel, love your batch cooking videos, even though i live alone, i can't cook for 1 so i batch cook for myself.

Thanks girl. You can use any butter from the supermarket. I prefer salted butter. This one I bought when I had travelled from Costco. It's much cheaper there.
