I really like how you have a drain in the bathroom and laundry room. We don't have that in the US. I know you don't like how you got behind with the cleaning and laundry but it was so satisfying to see the after! It demonstrates when you have decluttered and organized, you can get things back to looking pristine pretty quickly! Nice Job🎉
Yes I didn’t realise the floor drains aren’t a universal thing, I wonder why? There must be a reason as I don’t think the uk has them either. Might be too drafty in the winter as you can feel cold air come through them in winter
Really looks good,I think as we age I hate having so much shit around,cleaning and constantly having to shift stuff,plus coming home from work the last thing I want to do is clean,so if I do I want it to be easy and not cluttered etc.

Hahaha yeah brushes are a bit hopeless on huskies, one brush through and it’s clogged. Lol we just use a pet blower on him which helps the defluffing, Mike just doesn’t do it enough lol
Love this type of video. Encourages me to tackle my own mess. Love the tip about the spray disinfectant after cleaning. We are on tank water and sometimes the smell is not always the nicest even though everything is thoroughly cleaned. Love the idea of you sharing your art journal, I have just started to do this myself brings great joy. We have to move again in March (we move every 3-5 years) and I try to declutter every time we move but inspired by you to maybe get a start on it. Any chance you could share some cooking?

I have been doing a 4 day whole house reset for the last 6 months and knocking everything out at the beginning of the month. I’m like it that routine! Then I just do daily chores throughout the rest of the month aka touch up!

OMGosh - RIP, your little kitty. thats so sad, I cant live without my Siamese. But you woulld think theres so much common sense in cleaning - Ive even had to teach my clleaner to vacuum the bathroom floor before mopping it - otherwise the dist just becomes mud! We dont have a Deefa, but we do have a Siamese cat, and winter has made no difference to the vollume of fur all over the house. We have an enjo dusting mop and its really good at grabbing the fur off the timber floors. Its insane. His fur is even getting into food sometimes - its so light it flloats thru tte air everywhere. They are hard work but worth it. Again - great to see you
Love your beautiful home, with all the space and open concept rooms!!! Love all the clean white cabinets too. We just bought 20 acres and are currently living in our RV. 300 square feet and a 360 square foot cabin. So we will probably start building our home next spring. Weather in Texas is currently 108 degrees Fahrenheit here in Texas, too hot for any construction 😂 So I am envious of all your room❤. All our kids are grown so it’s just the 2 of us, but it is a constant battle to keep our stuff contained in the small areas. My husband has a small workshop too. We love being in the countryside and enjoy not living in the big city, so it will all be worth it in the end!!! Just a process to make this place a home, as we are retired and slowly building our dream country home ❤❤❤

Hehehe oh yes I could imagine Mel. But strict doctors orders Mel are rest rest rest. The house will always be there to clean, but you will never get your healing days back if you push yourself before you are fully healed. Its just not worth it.
I'm the same as you I think I said on Insta when we were chatting to Mel too there's just always stuff to do. Things are taking me longer to do stuff so I'm decluttering too so I can spend time on things I want to do rather than have to.
Oh definitely! You’d be surprised how much quicker cleaning and organising is when you don’t have alot of excess stuff. It’s made a huge difference to me

I 100% agree about the memories in your head not in your cupboards that’s exactly how I feel!! And yes I have the Roomba going 3 times a day most days just to keep on top of it all. Trying to fit everything into 30min vlogs is such a challenge but I will actually try to give that a go.
