This is perfect timing! Attention all islands. we know there’s been a lot of wrong doing’s for decades. You’re State is under Federal Investigation. I believe the fires begin a case of Crimes Against Humanity but it certainly doesn’t have to be the only thing unraveled against the Hawaiian people. For decades your mapping department has illegally allowed developers to map over your parcels of land without buying you out or making sure you have an easement for access. Then later you find your land cut off from access and they make it look like it’s your problem. Without the resources and money to fix it you give up your land for cheap. They violated your rights. It’s against the law to map over your parcels without buying it or creating an easement for you. This gross injustice can be fixed through a Quiet Title Action. This story looks like the State used their power to create a State Park or is it a National park? Either way, you’re State officials are under the Scrutiny of the Federal Government should plea the case. The State of Hawaii has been suffering from corrupted officials in the government there. Washington DC will start with the Lahaina fires, but there is no reason why they can’t trace corruption against the people going backwards. These officials took advantage of the people and location from the mainland to get help. Not anymore!! We have millions of digital soldiers in 49 States to help fight for you. You will need to gather historical evidence. Pictures, public records, documents. The youth in your family can make a video interviewing your stories. These testimonials are important. Call upon historians, scholars here on the mainland. If I understand the Hawaiian people, they not only need their land returned to them, they need the land protected. The Federal Government has a lot of land holding options for indigenous ownership. Making land a Nature Preserve or National Park prohibits development. Islands are fragile. We humans create a lot of trash and need a resources. Less is better than more.

I am of the opinion that Hawai'i should be an independent country, as it was before the illegal events of 1893. 100 years later, then-President Clinton signed an article of law and made a formal apology to the people of Hawai'i for the illegal events that the USA had committed 100 years earlier. Despite that, nothing changed. The USA should be eternally ashamed of its actions, which are more akin to what we expect from countries like China, Russia and others.

This is so eye-opening! I have enjoyed their land for years and I knew some of their sad history but no details. This made me feel so sad. It reminds me of the scripture that says man has dominated man to his injury. Ecclesiastes 8:9.

I respect this woman and understand her anger. I just wish we could focus on the actual problems like the Military messing up the islands, taking too much land, Hawaiian housing taking over 25 years to find Natives houses, etc.... Our Ancestors were all about using the stars to navigate, we should embrace telescopes which further our knowledge of the Universe. Lets find some common ground people! Surely there are some areas which are acceptable to build on, the entire mountain can't be sacred... Setup contracts where the developers must have trash removal and agree to not desecrate any other parts other than the specified building areas.. I feel like this is just hundreds of years of hatred built up to a tipping point, and has more to do with the fact that America stole the islands, which is a totally separate issue if you ask me..

I visited the top of Maunakea. I was very respectful. I paid respect to whatever entities may be. I meditated. Took no selfies. Left no mark. I have respect for the indigenous tradition. It is truly a sacred place. It should not be desecrated by buildings if the people do not want it to be so. The place has beauty and awe beyond words. There is no other place like it on earth that I am aware of.

i like her passion but she makes it sound like hawaii is this perfect heaven there is an element of tourism that goes with hawaii every travel agency have photoshop images and speak of this paradise I've been there twice and Hawaiian people are suffering their economy runs on tourism but they don't get any of it they also get lots of rude entitled disrespectful people visiting last time i was there there were a group of locals who got into a fight with a Chinese group because they wanted to take a bunch of rocks with them and they ended up throwing the rocks back at the locals, smh so rude and entitled
