11:26 That is the bottom half of a beach umbrella. The hook part actually tightens the top half at the height you desire. The pointed end goes in the sand. I’m a beach bum so I know. I own several umbrellas but I stay in the sun. Keep them for my dogs when I take them to the beach. I drive my truck on Assateague Island National Seashore in Maryland and Virginia.

Okay I think I told you this before but that's a bud wrench that goes for Dooley's on the truck the hexagon side does your usual lug nuts and then when you take the outer rim off you take the flip it over and use the square side to take off the lug nuts on the inner Dually wheel you put a big bar through the small little hole for a breaker bar and that's how you take the lug nuts off

Hi Tyler. I was trying to guess what type rifle that is. My hubby has been interested in old rifles like that for a while. Might I suggest and agree with others here, just clean it and hang it on the wall. Myself even if restored I would be fearful of firing it. If you want a gun that bad buy one, at a gun show. One of those metal rings had a latch on the end. I can't help wondering if it was a slave collar. If so that would be worth a good amount. Great finds. I love when you and Alex are together, you both play well off each other!!

I am not sure if this is really a German Mauser Gewehr 98. The bolt group looks like a System 98, but there are two things that make me wonder. First: a round metal part is missing from the shoulder rest, the "Stempelplatte" in German. Second: the front sight - G98 doesn't normally have a ring, but a open post style front sight. Either someone modified the rifle, or it's a knock-off (maybe hand-made by a gunsmith?) or an export model by Mauser. They sold these things everywhere. Mexico, Argentina, Brazil... you name it.

Bolt action rifles extend to the revolutionary eras, where used often in the civil war, but those older ones where thinner and funky looking. Since ww1 to today bolt action rifles kind of have the same kind of build.

What you have there my friend, is an old military rifle. Possibly a German Mauser. The bolt handle is really straight, it may be as early as WWI. I would be very careful getting the rust off. You by no means have a million dollar rifle, but it could be pretty damned old. Good luck my friend!

The lanyard hole in the stock indicates that your Rifle is military issue so You should take it to a gun shop and let them take a good look at it, I would really not advice you to try and restore the gun on your own, there are some things that need to be really carefully done but it would be cool to see what it really is, but that rifle is likely a WW2 rifle. It is perhaps a .308 or a .30-06 which were the most common rifle Calibers of U.S. issue rifles from WW2. So please at the very least take it in to a gun shop and have them look at it to see if it is even worth doing anything with. Chances are no, but you never can tell, hopefully the serial number and manufacturer's markings are still legible so that you can know for certain what it is you have.

My personal opinion is.......remove the clams / mussels gently, then leave as is! ONE: the slightest slip and / or damage will ruin all value. TWO: i've worked with wood all my working life. Not always with machines, but with my hands...carving. I love (any) wood. Um, I digress, so wood in that condition WILL crack when drying out. Excessive handling will cause vibrations no matter how careful one is. Suddenly! you will lose a chunk OR MORE! So, if you opt to have restored, please oh please find a professional restorer with verified experience with old and water logged wood. You've fallen in love with that piece. I can see it in your eyes. Do right by him / her and the armament will pay you right back. I'm not envious of you, I'm bl**dy green with jealousy. ❤
