I did a wounded warrior event once where we did a wild pig hunt. It was amazing listening to their stories. Some of the men and women that showed up just missed hunting because they were not able to anymore. Being a part of something like that and watching their joy and excitement was truly a blessing.

Brave and smart Mom to let every parent and grandparent to know the knowledge that a pool can take a child’s life so quickly. River’s sweet lovely face and story in his book, praying it will save many children. I bought River’s book and donated it to our public library. Sometimes we never know when someone goes to Heaven how many lives they touched on this earth. River touched many lives and will continue to touch and save many lives. God bless you and your family.

We are a lake family , Amber what you are doing is wonderful for everyone watching , but mainly for you and your children. One thing i never hear people talk about with there children is lake and ocean safety. We spend every weekend at the lake in the summer. I know of so many kids that have no idea what a under current means. Please teach your children about the dangers of swimming in the lakes and oceans. 💕💕💕

I've got to say that I cried when I seen Lincoln and London come running to the truck all excited to see Maverick and when they got inside and where loving on him making him smile and giggle, well it brought on the happy tears as it was a beautiful thing to see. Praying for you Amber , I know it's hard for you , but you are sacrificing your own emotions to keep Mav safe and your doing a great job . I have become so focused on ISR lately myself that it triggered an event I forgot about . I actually jumped into a lake ( that has alligators in it ) to save my elderly neighbor who fell into the water , it was dusk and she was in the area where nobody would of ever saw her and she was unconscious . I always rode my bike in the evening and that particular night I just was not feeling it . I kept making excuses . But, a voice kept telling me to go , even though it was getting dark . It was a great urge to go , more than ever . That was God . I'm so glad I listened . My neighbor is so alive still and doing well and we have become good friends . God is so good . Just thought I would share that with you . So God has got you 🙏 yee yee

Watching Maverick float had me crying happy tears. My niece has taught babies and young children to float, get to safety and swim for 20 years. I pray parents and grandparents enroll their little ones in a safety swim class before summer. Thank-you for sharing your journey with all of us. I love you all in Christ. I don’t believe in killing an animal unless someone’s going to eat it, unless it’s threatening someone’s life, or unless it’s suffering, so because this was done to feed people, I’m okay with it. I think what Granger did was an act of kindness. Mavie is such a BEAUTIFUL, HAPPY baby. You’re doing the right thing by giving him swim lessons. None of us like to see our children upset, but this is a necessity that could one day save his life. So Amber, you ARE helping a LOT of people by sharing your story and explaining what’s necessary for infant/small children SURVIVAL in the water. 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸

I have a daughter with Angelman Syndrome (autism spectrum), there are so many of our Angels that are taken by drowning, this is something that all people of all abilities need to know. One of the characteristics of AS is a fascination with water. My daughter was using a life jacket for about 14 yrs. I didn't like how it would turn her to her front, so we now do a float belt, she is never unattended in water, although she would spend hours in the pool, she is now 28 and because of body changes is very buoyant, big butt...LOL This program is amazing. Love your family and your story! We are in Campbell River BC, on the east coast, on the water on beautiful Vancouver Island and our little Theatre would be a great Venue for Granger.. LOL Salmon fishing, Orca, THE BEST TIME!

I just want to let you know the time you put into you're shows is really making a difference in my life, the ❤️ ya express has really touched my ❤️ and shown me a deeper meaning of what love really truly means. I lost my Son LaKoda in 2014 and my world turned upside down, since I started watching the Smiths in 2019 I personally could relate to the pain and grief you All have experienced, but somehow by watching the Smith's has really made a huge impact in my life. Thank you is just NOT enough you all are awesome such a beautiful charming Family reaching many ❤️'s in need. I do agree with the ISR for children. My daughter when she was 4 and we were on vacation. We were at the pool and the first thing she did was run and jump in. We quickly got her out, went and bought flotation devices and as soon as we got home from vacation, I put her in lessons. Once my second child was born, he got them. They are both amazing swimmers today. So happy you are doing this for Maverick. Love your family 💜💜💜

My niece put her daughter Emme in the program. It was so hard to see her cry, but that meant she was breathing. It’s amazing what Emme can do and is 2 and loves swimming. It’s so cool to see then put their arms up and float.

Thanks for explaining the African hunts. I'm one of those people who doesn't like seeing those animals killed either, but if it's done in a regulated way that in turn serves the need to feed the people, then I'm more inclined to be ok with it.

I think what you’re doing with educating people is incredible! Burying a child that you love is the hardest thing in the world we ever have to deal with! Think of all those sweet little boys & girls you are saving! I don’t have kids of my own but my nieces are like my kids. My niece was killed in a horrible accident a few years ago. Losing her has been the hardest thing I’ve ever been through! I used to talk to her every day. Her name was Amber Smith too! ❤️

YES ...it does happen exactly as Amber describes here w kids w out floaties ... It happened to my daughter at 4 years old in a split second. Thank the heavenly God I was able to jump in to bring her up quick enough. She was gasping for air w delayed breathing and then vomited water. Scariest thing ever. My Grand babies some day WILL have ISR. Thx 4 sharing Amber

So proud of little Maverick floating only if for a short time. He is so heartwarming and precious all at the same time. Glad to see Granger at home before his busy time of the year. London, Lincoln and Maverick are going to make for great siblings some day. That is something that has alway been important to me. I just lost my sister and being the oldest it's been a hard blow. I've been to Africa...everyone living in the village has a job for the village. Hunters hunt for the village, some gather firewood for the village. It is collective work for the benefit of the village, not just one family. You can't get a subdivision in America to work together like that. It's not for Americans to make policies for other countries to live by.

they sould not have a fear of the water they should have respect for the water...i grew up with being in a camp grounds on a lake and learning how to waterski and knee board like i said never let them fear the water but have respect for it get this one right some day ill be in a best time ever and ill say it to granger same i have here

I am a pool builder I have owned my own company since 1986. Watching your videos and your loss has opened my eyes to the dangers associated with a pool. I will be educating my customers of the dangers and share your videos with them. I'm so sincerely sorry for your loss and thank you for sharing your darkest day so others may benefit from your experience.
