Not having eyes at a site visit can be very risky though. Anything that could have been reasonably seen will be your responsibility. This often leads to unaccounted costs out of your pocket.
I understand the sentiment to want to get out there and do the actual work. A TON of these potential subcontractors won’t get back to you in time enough to submit a bid. If you’re doing the work, then there’s no need to have to deal with a potential sub who may be a question mark.
