You Won’t Believe What Marvel Did To Magneto! 

They want people to root for the villians. Because the people in charge of Marvel and DC are villians.

Magneto was a holocaust survivor that preached racial superiority. He was understandable because of the horrors he lived through, but he was a cautionary tale of letting hatred turn you into what you hate. Magneto was a layered villain, but he still did evil.

They made Magneto’s basically steal Xavier‘s entire flow word for word bar for bar. People who believe in Magneto are bloodthirsty they don’t want justice they want revenge. Marvel editors don't even know when their books are solicited. AI writes the copy for their retail book. If there's even copy for the issue. Marvel doesn't help shops. They don't care about us.

The modern day DESTRUCTION of Marvel Comics by the so called PROGRESSIVE writers of today makes me HAPPY that I've switched to collecting Marvel Legends action figures that actually UNDERSTAND what old school Marvel Comics fans want.

Hate to break it to you, but I do believe it. I've read the Krakoa and some modern comics. In fact, I was subconsciously expecting it, I wasn't surprised.

If they wanted heroic Magneto again they should just repackage Joseph and bring him back. Imagine a more competent Joe vying for a leadership role within the X-Men, knowing he's capable because of what Mags can do, and just not having the in-field experience.

Anyone else remember “Age Of Apocalypse”? It was a story set in an alternate reality where Charles died before forming the X-Men and start Apocalypse invasion. Magneto took Charles place in forming the team, however he wasn’t as effective. More interested in protecting Mutants than bridging the gap. In turn making Apocalypse goal for world domination far easier. What more, it showed why people fear mutants. Painting a clear picture of what can happen if mutants decide to wage war with humanity. The narrative feels nuanced by today standards. Cause modern marvel would never tell a story like that again. Instead have unstoppable mass-murdering monsters like Apocalypse be a victim wether than an unstoppable mass-murdering monster.

In the interest of fairness, Xavier should get circumcised so that he's now like Magneto

I wonder how smoll the group is that even read the the Infinite comics that Marvel makes. In those they made the sweet Nature Girl aka Lin Li into a lame villain (that Marvel pretend is a hero) Armageddon Girl.

I've thought this for a while. There is something seriously wrong with these writers deep down if they feel the need to constantly put Charles down and build up Magneto as a good guy. The funny thing is, he still acts like a villain in most people's eyes. The writers have no moral compass, they can't even write him as a good guy properly.

Giant-Size X-Men #1 is definitely the standout, but I gotta give some love to Giant-Size Creatures #1, 1st appearance of Tigra. I always loved her look, she's one of my favorites.

What Mavel are doing to Magneto is lame but make all sense for me because Magneto leading the team it's a mirror what the X-Men become in latest years and in Post-Krakoa Era. Almost every mutant distancied themselves of any meaning of heroism in the point that they are nothing more than a bunch of renegade outlaws fighting for themselves and fuck the world and mankind. This is the main reason of why I gave up of the X books forever. To modern writers the X-Mem can cross any moral line without suffer any consequences of these actions because they are a persecuted people. And just look to Cyclops team cast. We can see villains,assassins and anti-heroes.They are more like the Brotherhood Of Mutants than the X-Men. The X-Men don't are for me anymore.

In the alternate future timeline of X-Men: Days Of Future Past, Magneto's older, future self was the leader of the last, surviving members of the defunct X-Men super hero team. He was even crippled and in a wheelchair just like Professor X and Charles Xavier was dead which is why Magnus took over the X-Men. Magneto turned good and he became more sane and righteous because he realized that Xavier was right and he was wrong. The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants lost and the Sentinels killed them. He felt like a failure. He wanted to make up for his past misdeeds against the human race. Magneto had become similar to his former best friend turned former arch-enemy turned ally. Out of respect for him. In honor of him. In memory of him. This current version of Magneto is similar to that alternate universe version of Magneto, but only in appearance. Not in attitude, or behavior. The one thing I can say though, is that at least the Magneto from Earth-811, when he died fighting against the Sentinels, the Master Mold and Nimrod, finally repaid society for his sins, and he died a good man, and with honor. Something that this Earth-616 Magneto and his post-Krakoa lifestyle, and the current Marvel Comics X-Men comic book writers know absolutely nothing about.

Marvel is pushing hard to get the “Unlimited” platform going. The “subscription service” is the goldmine business model of the Roaring 20’s.🤑

Havok got the same treatment in Dark X MEN he was stabbed in the neck and turned in to a Zombie for that 5 issue run . What i still find dumb as hell Madelyne Pryor could have used her powers to fix when he was stabbed in the neck in the first place. From what i hear Havok was cured of being a Zombie by a online comic . From the new X FACTOR Polaris tells Havok inless he has another Goblin Queen in hiding he may not come back or something like that when he tells he is joining X Factor . So to me as some who didn't read that online comic makes me think Madelyne Pryor some how died healing Havok . as a Havok fan i find that as another slap to the face from Marvel that should be in a book not online . Reading a story only online is new and many Havok fans will be be wondering like me what Polaris is talking about and how it happen.maybe they will show a recap of what happen down the road they could have used one page . Now as a Havok fan is Madelyne Pryor still in the picture some how or him and Polaris going to back together and in the course of this book will it make it seem there is a love Triangle between the 3 .

Giant Size Daredevil is the one I read, and it was just a few pages of Kingpin that was in current continuity, followed by similar older kingpin reprints.

Ugh, as predictable as ever "Magento is right" is getting pushed again, by the Marvel office staffed by those with warped and disordered moralities, who only understand things in terms of power dynamics. Now he's Xavier but better, bringing his hopeful message of genocide, hatred and oppression to the world. And X-Men '97 is doing exactly the same thing. I hate what Marvel and Disney are doing to the X-Men. I have very little hope for the movie if it comes around. I hope Claremont's book will be good, his Wolverine limited series have been 🔥 (and they're all before Krakoa, even better).

People forget that one of the big critcism of Magneto from his very own kids is that he don't want to help mutants, he don't want equality for mutants, he want mutant to be superior over human and with him ruling over them all. He think he the only one that should be in charge. Remember when he took over Genosha, he didn't like that many of the local mutant didn't want to follow him. He threaten the UN to not recognized the local mutant leader as the true goverment of Genosha after the mutant uprising and to not help them. Then he crush the Genoshan mutant rebelling against him and kill their leader.

You know, Marvel and DC have both sucks for a few years now, but it really started the downward trend in X-Men. It feels like that’s where the woke started.

I don't think it's quite as juvenile as Doc suggests, I think that Magneto is a complicated character, and writing him well is beyond the current crop of X-men writers/editorial staff. It's all about visual gimmickry rather than nuanced character interactions and agendas. The pitch seems to be "thing looks like other thing".

"You won't bel-" I can believe it. We're talking about Marvel. The "Sympathize and praise villains" schtick woke writers uses fails on so many levels because...well, they're terrible writers. They don't understand that while you can feel a little bad for a villain, you're not supposed to cheer on and praise someone like Griffith or Magneto when they betray their henchmen and allies, or do much worse. You're supposed to hate Griffith despite the "X did nothing wrong" meme (A meme danganronpa fans don't understand because everyone in dr is a pos). Then there's the other fail where woke writers make you hate the protagonist and support their strawman villain (Red Skull "anti refugee propaganda" that made him likable whereas you hated Kamala and Captain Sjwmarvel for defending violent, greapeey refugees).

X-Men #3 was a better issue. Don't know why we are talking about digital ones they do as nobody pays any attention to them. The throw back series are good, told people to pick the Wolverine Deep Cuts. I will decide on my own about Exceptional X-Men, must say I really like the art I see and the subdued color palette for the book. Glad the anger is still up there...can't get enough anger. And they have been doing that kind of formatting on the oversized issues they produce for like ten years now. So nothing new there if been paying attention. And yes there are relevant Giant Size issues besides Giant Size X-Men #1, they just don't garnish the same attention or pricing. I know as I have sold them. WTF20.

Back in the day, when Xavier asked him to take over the school, he briefly used the cover identity of "Michael Xavier." Magneto then ran New Mutants and X-Men, much to the chagrin of the students. Nothing new...

XD LMAO!!!! They finally did it. They finally came right out and spat out they want to replace Xavier with Magneto just in the pages of this comic book. It took them 20 years but they finally admitted it at the expense of destroying the X-Men property and its characters completely. Now the X-line in comics is officially off life support. Once you start calling villains heroes and vice versa and mean it and can't tell the difference between right and wrong, it's over and the QR code BS is hastening its inevitable closure. Marvel Comics will be lucky to make it past 2025.

In hindsight, one of the biggest mistakes that Claremont made during his original X-Men run was reforming Magneto. IMO, Magneto should have never been reformed during the present day adventures of the X-Men. He should only be reformed in alternate future. It would have been better to either create a brand new character who was in that moral grey area between Prof X and Magneto to reform and become the new mentor and leader of the X-Men. During his original X-Men run Claremont was planning on making Gateway the new mentor and headmaster of the X-Men and Xavier's school. Gateway would have been the perfect character to make a more militant version of Xavier who despises all forms of bigotry and oppression no matter who the oppressor is, but not outright evil like Magneto. Gateway's background as an Australian Aborigine who were (and still are to a much lesser extent) racially oppressed by white Australians both socially and systemically, would be a perfect justification for him taking extreme measures against any BIGOTED humans or mutants. They could have Gateway slowly change and decide to no longer take extreme measures against bigots and decide to be more in line with Xavier's methods.
