Amazing transformation. I truly believe that if you get into a routine of taking care of your nails then you won’t bit or pick them. I have a nervous habit of picking the skin in the side of my thumb until it’s raw, but whenever I focus on caring for my nails, that habit disappears. I think it’s also because I don’t have any dry or damaged skin to pick.

Thank you so much for sharing, I’m following your techniques and my nails and cuticles have never looked better ❤️ I’ve been a chronic cuticle picker for all my life and now knowing what is actual cuticle and what is the proximal nail fold has helped me stop picking.

About two months ago, I started rubbing a drop of a oil into my cuticles and live skin around the nail after every hand wash. I keep a little shot glass in my bathroom sink with vitamin E and jojoba oil. In the kitchen and at my desk at work I keep a little travel pillow case with a cotton ball saturated with the oils so I don’t have bottles everywhere. My natural nails are looking amazing and even though it’s a very dry winter where I live, I have no hang nails and no live skin (not cuticle!) issues. Thank you! This has been amazing!

I'm 26 and struggling with nail biting, every few months I get motivated to stop biting and have a healthy nail, and search in the web, and get some bad advices, try to follow them, fails and repeats. This time I found your channel and I'm really impressed with the quality of the advices, someone who knows what they are talking about, and someone who cares about nail health. I'm so stocked to send you the transformation pictures after few months, thank you

Keep trying. Each time you try you have a better chance. You are armed with more experience and you will succeed one day. I think gentle weekly preventative manicures are key. The more you care the less tempted you are because there is less to pick and less to drive you crazy. Good luck! Please share pictures with me, I would love to see :)

I came across your channel in may and it helped me very much. I started using Neonail Shellac a year ago because the started to sell it openly in german drug-, and beautystores ( somewhat 10 euros a bottle, the lamp is available with a starter kit) thinking about nothing. I was really impressed by it, because my nails finally started to grow longer more easily, because the shellac somewhat gives a good support by being "hard" instead of flexible like normal air drying nail polish. I was so impressed by that, that I finally decided to go to a professional nail salon in my small town and get real gel extensions (not natural growth with shellac on top). She overfilled the nails horribly, they were completely uneven and broke off one by one and popped off after 1-2 weeks. I got pictures of the manicure and it looks like it has been painted by an amateur, looking back at them now. After that I went back to my homemade Neonail, as it was cheaper and looked better. I sadly did the mistake - I didn't know obviously as there were absolutely no precautions when buying this stuff in the drugstore - and put on new Neonail on the extremely damaged and flimsy nails after the extension. I did that for 2-3 Months afterwards without a break to let them grow out healthy and I developed some kind of gel allergy. My cuticles developed those red little dots like hematomas, they were puffy, painful and cherry red! I started to develop peeling skin patches under my free edge that grew up to my fingertips. I never realised something big was coming, when onycholysis came into it aswell. I almost lost my complete small fingernail and ring finger nail, and some smaller portion on each nail close to the free edge. I was ashamed for months, wearing band aids over the "naked" nails. I first thought it was because of my Vitamin A cream for my acne (tretinoin) They were completely healthy by the end of August, following your advice and strict oiling after hand washes, wearing gloves when doing housework and using ointment additionally each night before bed. Not using any polish or gel in the first months ! To be honest, my nails never have been stronger without any additional help of strengtheners or UV-polishes after this situation. They grew very strong and flexible. My cuticles have never been healthier and softer. They had this violet/pink healthy undertone and the free edge wasn't translucent (to call it like that, they were this pretty french nail white!). Went back to university and didn't have the time to keep it up and somewhat got motivated to try my Neonail Set again and instantly regretted it. I woke up in the night because of the pain with an even stronger inflammation than I had in spring. I immediately tried to file it off as much as I can and work with aceton. It took me over three weeks the get rid of the pain in the cuticles and fingertips and they were red the whole time ( I couldn't get to a doctor or dermatologist to get me some cream) Now my small fingernail and Ringfinger have onycholysis again after having shellac on for 6 hours on the healthy nails! I cut and filed the seperated part off again and here we go: repeat the same I did in Spring with your channel :) I want to switch to complete "air drying" manicure and ditched any semipermanent gels I had. Thank you for the channel! It helped me so much

hello there :) Once you are allergic your body will recognise the ingredients you are allergic to and even similar ones so the symptoms appear faster and become more serious. It's like when you are allergic to shrimp it doesn't matter which restaurant makes it and how they make it or even if you make it, you can get sick from it. And once you feel better you are not "cured" sadly. When you eat it again, you will react to it more. Here is a playlist with more info about allergies. ru-vid.com/group/PLnP7qaKYlbX4i0QouxamGWTpxlF3ma1Hi PS. Shellac is a name of the gel polish made by CND. The generic name for these products is gel polish (in Spain here they call it "semipermanent", in Poland they call it "hybrid"). So Neonail has a gel polish without a specific name to it.

I think i bit my nails too long…after 55 years of nail biting…I have quit very recently following your advice. Still struggling with a few nails where they just will not grow out right. Will keep up the daily kerasal and cuticle oil with oil soak weekly. And pushing back the cuticles every other day. Not using any polish because a couple of the nails are too short.

I’m 70 yrs old and have picked at my nails and surrounding skin since childhood. I just can’t break the habit. I might get them looking good and longer but end up ravaging them in the end. I was severely beaten across my fingers ( once with a violin bow) as a child and the resulting fear and anxiety just made it worse. It’s kinda imprinted in my psyche now and I just can’t break the habit. It’s embarrassing and I can’t even go to a manicurist to help me because I’m so ashamed of them. Terrible situation to be in.
@TheSalonLife
@TheSalonLife 9 месяцев назад
Hi Miryana, I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. That is so sad. Maybe instead of trying to break the habit (so taking something away) try adding gentle nail care. Weekly manicures, give yourself a gentle hand massage with nice oils and lotions. Try massaging in a bit of oil when you remember. Make this a positive habit. I actually quite enjoy doing my nails weekly. It's "me" time. So instead of feeling ashamed, you will feel a bit of achievement every time you do your manicure. Take pictures and look for tiniest improvement in the skin and nails. Don't aim for perfection but for improvement. If you relapse, that's normal and it's OK. That is how we learn but each time it will be easier. And just care for yourself. You can totally do it yourself. Sending lots of love.

Patrząc się na składniki to praktycznie gliceryna i olejek z drzewa herbacianego. Kolagen to po prostu nawilża lekko. Hm.
