Love the bucket and coffee cup ideas! Does the bucket get damaged when you are burning the candle? Also can you add more than on wick to each bucket? So it melts evenly?
the reason you wax is caving in or tunneling is because you are pouring the wax in when it is too hot. I tried it both ways and it works better if it is not as hot
Kaitlyn, one thing, you could do to keep it from coming out of the metal stars or anything metal is sticking it into your freezer for twenty minutes before you pour the hot wax in. Usually, not always but usually it slows it down and hardly it lets any out
Please be careful picking random glass to make candles. As a candle maker, this can be very dangerous and disastrous. Some glass can not handle the heat and will explode. Please please be cautious of this and let your subscribers know for their safety.
@@6kidsagluegun that is not true most of dollar trees glass jars don’t say anything about heat. People can have common sense and still mistakenly have a mishap not knowing. Also I didn’t even touch base on fragrances, on what they can do if you don’t have the knowledge of candle fragrances. I’m only looking out for peoples best interests/safety.
Great job as usual!!! I loved the simplicity of the star candle. As far as the wax seeping out even after you use hot glue, I wonder if the wax is so hot that it's remelting the hot glue?
I am new to melting candles an I made a disaster, so I kind of wanted a guide that would help me to do it a lot more smoother without a disaster. what would you recommend I get that would help me learn?

Cute video, love the ideas. Quick question, does anyone know if the whipping trick also applies to soy candle wax? Will it even whip? Curious to know if anyone tried it before (before ingivenit a go) TIA 🙏
Making candles can be a very fun craft. I started off doing similar using Dollar Tree candles and melting and pouring into other containers. I started doing research and determining ways to make candles I would like from colors to fragrance to wicks and containers ect. It's trial and error honestly. Its just about doing it safely. Some advice the dips you get on the candles the wax is a little too hot and the container cool so take a heat gun to the inside of the container prior to pouring and it'll help, this used to happen to mine a lot. Getting a candle or kitchen thermometor will help check temp prior to pouring, different waxes pour better at different temps. Also recommend putting the wick down first with glue or glue dots before pouring as it helps to center the wick for best burning. I'll say the pillar glass candles at Dollar Tree are like a whipped wax and the wicks are not the best quality. But I'll say it's not very expensive to get started with better quality wax, containers, wicks, fragrance oils ect and honestly being able to make it the way you want is just such a fun thing. Also electric wax melters are a great way to save time and melt insanely fast. Also if a candle is to be lit I recommend not using glue, paint, nonwax items in it just for safety but if just for decor I see no problem. Using molds to make wax inbeds are another option if the candles to be burned. These are of course just suggestions. I think you're doing great putting your crafts out there for people to see. Best to You & Happy Crafting!
First of all you are my favorite crafty girl with amazing ideas each and every time and second I thought of a video. How to fix a mistake on a project! I can't seem to make anything right the first time and thus this will help me out learning what I can do when I make a mistake instead of throwing it away!
I think the wax was too hot & ended up melting the cooled hot glue. I don’t know how you could get around that. But I love your ideas on different ways to use the $Tree candles. Keep on bringing us your $Tree hacks.
Since there are so many really nice faux candles out, I am going to try some of these ideas. I've never liked burning real candles...scares the begeebers out of me.
I really and truly love all of your candle diys but my favorite is the one that you made in the Irish glass with the "whipped cream" I'm going to try my hand at it
Hi KATELYN, I had the same problems with my candles sinking in the middle and I found that if I put them on a candle warmer, it levels it right up when it melts them. Hope this helps and really enjoy your tips.
Loved the pressed flower & fern vases and the pretty gold floral candle holder you put in your bedroom. That would be nice in a bathroom, too. Nice ambiance while taking a bath. The floral tins were so pretty with the candle wax in them, too. Tysmfs!! 🌿❤
So many cute ideas!! A candle maker told me that if the wax is too hot it will cave in like that is happening. 🤷♀️ Love the pressed flower candle. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful crafts Katelyn! I hope the flowers come back to my area stores this summer as I’d like to make the 5 flower arrangement for my bathroom. Thanks for such creative & beautiful spring & summer decor ideas!
Great ideas. Thanks for the Dollar Tree glass ideas and containers that you have been successful at candle making! Also the idea of using the gluesticks to help prevent leaking. You're good at explaining what worked for you and what didn't!
