You know we always focus on how much RU-vidrs are making. But I wonder how much RU-vid is making off of RU-vidrs. Just think about it. Even small RU-vidrs who aren't making much but have enabled ads RU-vid is still making money off of them.
Dont forget that you can only get monetized after you hit 1k subscribers and you can enable ads since you start your channel. So they make a very big profit

It's the concern that "some" people have about the amount of money RU-vidrs make, when RU-vid/Google is making a lot more $$$ off of the content that the Creators are making. But yes, we can all see how much Google makes off of RU-vid for each year :-). However, it make get a little tricky to see how much they make for a particular channel as you would need to see how much they are charging all the advertisers.
PewDiePie deserves every penny! He knew a regular job was not what he wanted, he took a chance at RU-vid and been consistent in making videos daily for years, and now he is enjoying his life in Japan. 🥰

He deserves it because he grinds more than anyone, he posts everyday and then has to edit the video which takes a while, doesn’t spend much time relaxing, and just grinds hard.
I just started watching your videos today, I like the analysis of established you tubers, but what I’d really love to see... if you could predict channels that have less than 1,000 subs and are going to hit it big??? I think it would be cool to see if you could accurately spot someone BEFORE they blow up.
That's actually a really cool video idea ( but I just made one on Mr Beast lol). I have seen small channels many times and just knew they were going to blow up. Recent examples would be Lana Blakely (saw her at 9k), Jake Tran (saw him at 1k) and Andrei Jikh (6k). Definitely a future video idea for me.
@@pytagus yup, algorithmes are meant to find the good content, but that's a computer. I want to see one of the people that study other channels do it. I think that would be really interesting to see.
In Sweden, business info is public so anyone can look up how much a company is earning, how many employees they have etc. I looked Felix up and when he was still living in Sweden and had his company registered here, he made $7-8 million back in 2014 and 2015 respectively. 96+% of it being profit. His second company, a holding firm of his own, had $36 million in 2014 and $6 million in 2015.
Pewdiepie said his merchandising number of $42 million total online was way too high . There’s no way that number 2 is correct. It’s likely one zero too high. Pewdiepie also said that Estimates of $3400 per hour were not far off. That would put him at ~$30 Million per year. Like you, I think it’s a little higher than that and think your overall number is quite close. It’s likely closer to $40 M per year. Great analysis overall tho.
But he wasn't making millions for those first few years, and up to what date is that 123 million number accurate? Because he is clearly making millions by the month
I think the question of if he deserves it depends a bit on how he uses it (I haven't looked into this). One person (or even two) does not need that much money. As long as he uses parts of it to help others in good ways, I'd say it's deserved.
Waleed Yousif he does not deserve it as much as doctors, nurses, and soldiers do though personally no one DESERVES that much it just is luck that brings shit like that even pewds himself admits that.

I think PewDiePie deserves allot more because he is only one SWEDISH guy, he has 102M subscribers,he is a gamer (of many many games),he is the one who made MINECRAFT famous, he has a subreddit that he reviews weekly, meme review,LWIAY,published THREE games PS: all of them are SICK ( check PewDiePie's tuber simulator PewDiePie's pixelings and poopdie,always humble and never brags about him being famous or rich, makes MINECRAFT actually fun, pro gamer, been on RU-vid for 10 years, makes Terraria famous, PEW NEWS, SPECTACULAR songs check out BIC LASAGNIA/CONGRATULATIONS/MINE ALL DAY , his MERCH are like normal clothing lines and seem apropreate to wear anywhere not like other RU-vidrs who make initials all over their merch so my opinion is that PewDiePie deserves much more than whatever he said in the video PS: I did watch the video

Its not whether he deserves it or not. Thats a wrong question. He worked hard to make this channel earn this much revenue. For that matter, I don't think we can judge anyone on that.
'deserve' is somewhat problematic. I think that if you can get something withing the bounds of legality you 'deserve' it. But there's people that would say that if you make a lot, you deserve only a relatively small portion of it because a lot of what made it possible was not at your hands , and should therefor be given back to the community that made it possible for you to succeed. Which is a fair point. But that's why we have taxes. So... 58m - 30% or so?
He definitely deserves it and it's not like he keeps it, the majority of his income is donated to charity so like yeah along with becoming one of the most major influences on RU-vid he is also an amazing person and he deserves every single penny
How does pewdiepie NOT deserve this amount of money? He has revolutionised an era of youtube, he has built his community from the ground up and is not cocky from the amount of money that he gets. Theres a reason he has so much money.

Again, a big well done on this Paddy! To answer your question, he deserves it if he ‘thinks’ he does and that is the same principle at work for anybody. If you don’t think you’re worth it, doesn’t matter what your content or how much work you put into your channel, you won’t get it.
I don't think anyone "deserves" this kind of income BUT he definitely deserves whatever he earns! He's worked INCREDIBLY hard for it all. It definitely shows you that hard work will pay off and inspires us all to keep striving forward!
He makes like 40m because RU-vid takes 45% of cpm. If anyone questions whether someone deserves a certain income they do because they are jealous. It’s called hard work
