We are fishing out of Elmers Island (Grand Isle are) in Louisiana targeting speckled trout, and we were surprised by this massive redfish that caught me off guard. Definitely a nice surprise. Fishing for redfish is one of the most exciting activities to do in louisiana. Redfish fishing can be done in deep water, shallow water, brackish water, salt water, and even fresh water in some cases. On this video we used matrix shad (tiger bait color) on a 1/8 oz jig head. This time of the year, is very easy to find the big redfish schools around the beach. Gotta love DAT LOUISIANA LIFE. The life on the bayou is just great!
