Caroline and Erik met in July of 2022 and on their second date they knew they were each other's person. Erik proposed at Caroline's parent's house in their front yard and to her surprise the whole family rushed out of the front door to celebrate the newly engaged couple.
Their wedding celebration took place on the shores of Lake Michigan in Lake Bluff, Illinois. Despite the original intention to hold a ceremony outdoors the rain did not soften the spirit. The rain, once a concern, became a blessing-a symbol of cleansing and the beauty of life’s imperfections. In that moment, nothing mattered to Caroline and Erik except for saying vows and sharing the celebration with their closest people.
