I went to my first Goodwill grand opening about a month ago. They really put out great stuff for it! Been back since to the same store and it was totally different!
Dalton, the trip really shows your knowledge of shoes. It's incredible how the vast majority of those shoes, you already knew what you could sell them for. I would have spent so much time looking stuff up and therefore losing out on deals to someone like you! haha.

The brooks for $25 is a good example of don’t be afraid to spend more than normal if the comps are there what a haul good thing you were there when they opened prices went up on the spot as they restocked
I truly think you knocked it out of the park with this video. The lighting, editing, and production value goes up and up with every video. With each passing minute I can feel myself being gravitationally pulled towards the light of reselling and I'm sure it won't be long before I sell my first pair of shoes and begin my new life as a used shoe reseller. The coffee pot has been recalled, I learned this the hard way. eBay rejected it, made me sad but at least it had all of the insides and the lid so I can part it out. The glue holding metal to glass can melt or come unglued causing a scalding risk. So you might want to take a look at your other one. Is it worth taking the risk of a lawsuit if someone is injured? The pots with a metal ring around the top is okay.

Great haul at the Grand Opening. I live North of Atlanta and I see you didn't find that much in Atlanta from a previous video. I'm not sure which thrifts you hit while going through Atlanta. Wish there were better deals on shoes here. I keep looking.!

What part of Florida do you live in Dalton? My wife and I are on vacation from Kentucky and we are at Smyrna Beach. We hit up one Goodwill and the prices were crazy high.

They probably raised the prices because you bought them out at a lower price at the beginning. They probably want to see if you’ll buy them at the price they are at ..then they’ll lower it later on… You still got a great deal. Awesome buy day.
They weren’t actively pricing the shoes. Everything was priced before the store opened, they intentionally put the best deals on the floor first. The raised prices are a more realistic representation of what the prices will be at this store
Do you not know that they have expenses too? That wages for the many employees I saw in there have gone up like everyone else's? Utilities, rent...all of that has gone up too. While most of the merch might be donated, none of the aforementioned expenses are donated.
Goodwill does stuff for the community here in Dallas they have jobs also pick up litter as the lady says also in this comment the salary went up for its employees & they gotta keep the lights on.
I wish Goodwill's in Jacksonville had some shoe sections like this but unfortunately it's few and far between I found about five good pairs of shoes in the 5 years I've been reselling LOL it's really sad
This is why the average person that wants to truly thrift ends up not finding anything worth having and then we have to pay the raised prices they are now doing.
Yes!!! I’m a single mom and a lot of my clothes for work, have came from Goodwill. It’s really terrible when resellers buy up kid’s clothes! I don’t know how kids were able to buy clothes, shoes and backpacks for an entire school year, with a 200 dollar clothing voucher.
@@SJ-ni6iy My daughter isn't a single mom but she buys a lot of my 5 grandbabies clothes at Goodwill. I guess without asking someone you really don't know if they're a reseller? And again so much of it ends up in the landfill. I was watching a video the other day where someone was at the bins. And the employees were taking the bins to the back room and putting them on a conveyor to go into the garbage. The less that goes in the landfill the better. Maybe get up extra early on Saturday and/or Sunday morning and grab what you need? If you ever saw my daughter's cart full of clothes you would probably assume she's a reseller. We all need to be kind to one another.
I'm still at the beginning of the video 🙈 I'm a reseller but also shop at goodwill and thrift stores for my family. My size in shoes is a popular size for reselling. Everyone leaves Walmart clothes behind. 😭 All this to say that's a lot of shoes 😭😭😭
I Think if you would’ve filled your cart then taking your IKEA bag across the top you could’ve had two big bags on top and filled the two bags and had twice as much in your cart that might work better for you next time great video
There were more employees than customers! And they were all so friendly - at least until the end of the day. Yes, I'd say you do have a bit of a habit.
