Shaun ~ Yes Yes Yes This is wonderful you walking around showing us the sites. Even seeing where you grew up. It's like a private tour with us all having a front row seat. I love the walk under the old tall bridge right in Edinburgh. Do they have special parking so folks can go down and walk that beautiful path? Love the old mill area with all the stone houses. Takes you back in time. Thank you for another great trip wondering through Scotland.

The Battle Gun is the gun and harpoon from a whaling ship.Chrstian Salveson company based in Leith was at one time the biggest whaling fleet in the World, and one of their ships brought penguins back from South Georgia to Edinburgh Zoo.

Steve Crawford , Roslin Chapel in on the Penicuik Road leaving Edinburgh. This is owned by the St. Clair Family for centuries. There is the Roslin Castle mostly a ruin with partial living area in Roslin Glen near to the Chapel A strong connection with Freemasonry. There are stories that the Holy Grail is buried here. Brought back by the Knights ? If you ever visit Edinburgh this should be No1 on your list to visit.👍 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Drone shots are IT! Yee Haw, what a full 8 second ride they are!! Shaun, that you take the time to narrate many of the stories behind where you are/go is, in MHO, a large part of why some many people sub and continue to view and like your channel. No matter if I am sitting in the middle of the Great State of Texas, or on a flight to some place, I feel as if I am on a exclusive tour with a well informed driver! Thank you, Koni B.

When my husband and I were at University of Edinburgh in the early to mid 90s, we lived a block away from the Cammo Estate. We used to wander all over it with our landlord and his wife. There was a ruin of a walled garden and elsewhere a ruined house and some monkey trees and all we knew about the land was that it had been in a single family for 1000 years before it was given to the city. I'd love to see that again and know more about it as well. I just went over to Patreon and added you to my list and copied this out over there. Terrific video!

When I worked in Chesser House, Ford's Road was often my little bolthole for eating my packed lunch. Where you passed under the bridge carrying Great Junction Street was where Junction Bridge railway station stood from 1869 to 1947. The Water of Leith was once navigable as far up as Bowling Green Street. Sandport Street bridge used to have a lifting section in the middle of it. The thing you thought was a "battle gun" is actually a whaling harpoon gun. And the blue bridge you crossed over is the Victoria Swing Bridge. Great video, Shaun. As you say you would never guess it was in the middle of Edinburgh. An American friend of mine once came to visit and on her first evening I took her down the Dene Path to go to dinner in Stockbridge. She was astonished anything so rural could be in the centre of a city. I've always fancied cycling the Water of Leith Walkway from Harperigg to the docks. You may have just galvanised me to do so.

Hi Shaun, what a beautiful place your Scotland is. I would have to say my favorite place on this video is where the really expensive old apartments are. I love the old buildings, so beautiful. I did notice when you quickly showed the gun, and said it was some kind of war gun, I don't think it's that kind of gun. Of course it was only shown a few seconds, but I believe it might be a harpoon gun for whaling. The tip looked like the tip of a harpoon. I love the character of the buildings, each is so unique; not all cookie-cutter, like we have here in the States. Keep the videos coming, they're fun to watch.

Shaun, that's a fantastic presention Pal. It also brought back many memories for me; I used to work in a wee engineering firm in the Dean Village, Miller Row, way back in the late 80's. When I worked there it was said that one of the Proclaimers (Craig, I think) lived in the old Mill that was converted into flats. Keep up the good work!

The Boats at the end, on The Shore area were brought in during the renovation of the area. The white one was a restaurant, although the guy who owned it done a runner (something to do with tax I'm lead to believe). The others, to be used as trendy office lets. Also, the blue gun is a remnant of the whale ships that used to operate from Leith docks many, many years ago.
