@tlangi Vhukeya 🇿🇦 don't let no one lie to you swry its really bad since after elections.prices of basic needs like sugar salt flour etc life is expensive than in the US or Europe.A very corrupt government!we need julius malema ASAP.😱😱
Love for Kenya 🇰🇪 Uganda 🇺🇬 Democratic Republic of Congo 🇨🇩 Rwanda 🇷🇼 Burundi 🇧🇮 South Sudan 🇸🇸 and Tanzania 🇹🇿 all East Africa Community nations developing very fast in Africa 🙏 🤲 💯.
Those challenges are, tribalism, corruption, inconsiderate, selfishness, greedy, dishonesty, nepotism, incompetence and ineptitude, my brothers and sisters, Africa is a joke, in your own country, you have to bribe someone to get a passport or even an identity card. The concept of development in Africa is just mind blowing
Delivering at the expense of languishing the citizens into more and more poverty and hardship, it has no meaning brother. Right now we have an expressway but so many Nairobi residents have never even used it since it was launched almost 1 and half years ago.
Kenya especially Nairobi, a country which take developments seriously. Uganda has alot to learn from Kenya and Tanzania as far as infrastructure is concern. Thank u for showing my politicians back home that there are countries that are moving forward and competing internationally.
Uganda is not just sitting back unless ur not just following coz it also has its infrastructure projects meant to benefit citizens going on such as the Kampala-jinja expressway, mpigi busega expressway and southern bypass and the already completed northern bypass and entebbe expressway and also away from roads a lot is on going elsewhere including dams, Hoima international airport, SGR and MGR railwaylines etc
@@lwangafrank2431 Most roads in Kenya have security lights... Most of the roads in Uganda have no road markings, no traffic lights. And those that have them some dont work!
@@allanm757 in Uganda u still have thugs who steal street lights u can imagine... However most of the newly built roads especially in urban areas have street lights be it in kapchorwa, gulu, Masaka etc save for roads out of towns or municipalities or cities
You have to drive on masterclass Dongo Kundu bypass in Mombasa, that road and scenery is one of the best if not simply the best. We're anxiously waiting for the SGR tour, your take on those Terminals.Finlly tell us where you have been for the past two days, why were you not uploading videos? We missed them.
@@deepsea-xanyone who disagrees with you has not cruised on it, believe me they will park and take photos especially if they will be in private vehicles.
This was an amazing tour. Thanks very much for accepting us to be part of this and you are such a vibe man. Thanks once again and you are always welcome again for more explorations.
Thanks UGconnect. I enjoyed the ride as your driver for this trip. Your advice worked well and now my channel Etalanyi Rebranded is already up. Posting my first video on Friday 7th July 2023.
I’m in Kenya currently for a week & days now and I stay on this road-Royshambu neighborhood after Thika Road Mall. Infrastructure development is impressive and I’m sure things could be better if well maintained and some of my observations thought out. A few things I didn’t understand are why passengers on public service buses have to jump off without being given chance to comfortably disembark. The vans/buses won’t come to a standstill stop for that. I mean what’s the whole point of building proper infrastructure and not have stages/stops for commenters to disembark and get on with ease. Jumping off in the middle of the road with other speeding vehicles is something I found strange and totally a thing road safety rules should put into consideration, the safety of the people matter most. Why build roads to stop road carnage, ease traffic flow but not put emphasis on safety of people who use them? Next issue I also observed is the insane speeds especially in areas that are populated with people crossings from to either side of the roads and the speeds are so high. That was insane, a thing they’ve to fix. One more thing is excessive uncomfortable sound levels or better called they don’t see sound pollution as an issue. The public vans and buses have very high uncomfortable levels of sound in them coming from the installed audio systems. I found this unnecessary sound indeed, it’s not a touristic attraction, travelers need comfort and to be treated with a certain level of peace/serenity, passengers don’t need such annoying loud sounds all the time. Matter of fact i didn’t find that as an attraction or anything impressive but rather a weird thing. Lastly some of the public vans, the smaller ones and medium buses are indeed DMC’s but on the roads. I was always worried about one breaking down at such high speeds or failing to brake. I think the infrastructure has improved but they need to clean up on cars running the roads or put in place stricter standards on vehicles handling public transportation for the safety of the people.
Am not a fan of essays but av tried to palpate through this,on the issue of maintaining, this road is almost 14 yrs old and according to how you saw it, it's well maintained. About music in psvs, clients have choices because all of them don't have music, entertainment is meant to attract youthful clients and it succeeded. Alighting anywhere on roads is a vice that needs to be fished out,I concur with you. On speeding in residential areas, it's a matter of common sense for drivers, like any other society...all people don't follow the law. You made good observation I can confirm that.
We have different types of vans for transportation, there are those that have music inside called matatu and there are those which are quiet inside. We have something called matatu or matwana culture, most of the matatus go in a show to showcase different graffiti and sound systems installed in their vans. You need to do your study well to understand the thing called matatu culture and also you need to know that there are other vans that don't have music inside. One has to make his or her choice when it comes to boarding matatus or vans.
Your observations may be based on experience but in Kenya, democracy is king. We have a choice to even the matatus we board. I can choose the quiet ones over the mobile discos. Always find what suits your taste.
Beyond Thika, they recently extended this highway to Nyeri county. For Ugandans, the distance covered is like building an express highway from Kampala to Masaka.
You should check out the 84 km Kenol - Marua dual carriageway under construction 👌 But the whole project is actually 219 km from Kenol to Isiolo which is being expanded to dual carriageway!
Alafu akicheki atafanya nini, mbona mnakuaga na mushene ivi jamani. mtu haezi jibamba kenya bila wakenya kushinda waki brag kwa comment section. I get embarrassed as a Kenyan Lol
Not clean anymore !! Thika Town has become the hawkers capital of Central province.......with hawkers crowding every street & sidewalk. If the former NMS general is not sent there ASAP, the town will soon go to the dogs.
beautiful highway. I am struggling to understand whether this is just a highway or a freeway. People from Kenya will tell us. Watching from South Africa.
@@raphaelmasila1220 A free way has nothing to do with money. It means the traffic is flowing freely on and off the highway, usually in high speed, without stopping. So on that highway, I sow block pedestrian crossings, which is uncommon on a highway.
I cant wait for your SGR videos....i love how relaxed you are in Kenya like you are in Uganda. This is the brotherhood we need im africa, the last time i was im Uganda i was treated so well with those guys ,i feel i should go back there ..Last night i happener to click a nigeria YT in kenya ,all that in his mouth is shit ,he came to compare and say how abuja is well developed and thought kenya doesnt have anything to showcast....Nigerians have bragging rights that has no help.... Im glued to this channel bcos you came to fit ans see what Nairobi can offer but not to brag and at the same time you want our subscription, never.
Abuja doesn’t come close to Nairobi in terms of development! Most Nigerians are just jealous of Kenya 🇰🇪 They have lots of oil but majority of Nigerians live in poverty and the whole country is so disorganized! Lack of electricity ⚡️ and security! That’s why they are flocking to Kenya in droves and refusing to leave 😅
That's odd 🤔 all naija youtubers I've watched have nothing but good things to say. Well... actually when they have a critique, they navigate very carefully and politely. Even when talking about our food😅 They understand that Kenyans can boost subscriber numbers very quickly. Clearly not this guy...
I cant imagine the amount of money that was spent on building this road. When u look at budget alocation for roads in uganda. And then the amouny they spend on small narrow roads u will wonder😢😢😢
Let’s say it depends on the leadership. The president we had during the building of this highway and was a very intelligent person. The SGR too was under his leadership (vision 2030) but Uhuru had to continue with it after Kibaki’s retirement.. He was not corrupt at all. Unlike the rest we’ve had later on 😢Our former president tried too to bring out some developments, including the expressway but a lot of corruption happened during his reign.
Hello Lawrence am Kelvin Seda.. CEO @Kelfx Financial Equity Firm.. am Kenyan but lived in Uganda .. and studied there .. tulina okwogera..nkonako muganda wange .
All countries in East Africa that have been ruled by military men who call themselves liberators have lagged behind for over two decades. Uganda for example is in turmoil as far as economic, political and social infrastructure is concerned. Kampala is just as good as Juba as far as roads are concerned. The few roads have been constructed at very exorbitant costs due to the incurable level of corruption that has riddled all government institutions. Everything in this country from roads, hospitals, schools, culture etc looks collapsed and dead. Kenya and Tanzania have mature politics and all citizens and leadership have been patriotic and they do everything in the names of the country. Uganda's state of affairs is largely retrogressive especially in the last two decades
Good work UG connect, we have great infrastructure development in kenya, you should visit two rivers. Visit the coast especially Mombasa city and go through dongo kundu
I believe such projects have come in Uganda too and it's just a matter of time to implement them but Uganda is on the right track too, the likes of Kampala - Jinja Express Highway
Our brother that asked what BRT is? Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) that's what it is. The busses have their own dedicated Lanes and elevated stations almost like Trams, and Trains
The use bypass i.e southern, Eastern, Northern and Western bypasses which pass at the periphery of Nairobi and are all dual roads. So a few seen here are just operating within the city
Makerere University has been placed in the 13th position of best Universities in Africa, and emerges number one, with the exclusion of Egyptian and South African universities.
Mombasa has amazing roads that can put these in Nairobi to shame 😮 The government wants to transform Mombasa into a free port like Dubai, hence the massive infrastructural investment in the coast!
The new government led by president Ruto is even more serious and dedicated to building more and better roads and highways across Kenya 🇰🇪 For the financial year 2023 to 2024, the government has increased the funding for roads by more than 3 times to over Ksh 239.5 billion! This means we are continuing on the legacy of uhuru Kenyatta where big ticket infrastructural projects are given priority!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂It seems you haven't heard what Murkomen saying, infact they are planning to stall some of the ongoing infrastructural projects, leave alone new ones.... that's hot air.
@@collinskenya3630 siasa peleka mbali. . Do your research snd be factual stop listening to lies on rallies and pointless opposition meetings. Finance bill 2023 -24 has increased the infrastructure development fund drastically.
@@derrick__mtr Exactly 👍 Part of the funding will repay contractors so that the current stalled projects can continue! The remaining money will go to new projects!
