Coming back to this one, just realized the tv was 7000usd! 😮 That's insane haha i thought it was yen, for ¥7,000 is hop on a train to Nagoya to find it for sure
Haha if it was 7000 yen I would buy it in a heartbeat 😃 Well, obviously its a lot of money, but it is super rare. I saw one sold on eBay 20 000 USD. Part 2 of this video coming tomorrow!
This store is so amazing! I've never even heard of that Dreamcasat TV or that Mario Bros. Chair. And then all these other games. Really incredible. Even Japanese thrift stores are built different.
Oh yes, it was magical exploring this store! Thats so cool! Im glad I could bring these cool things to the light for you. Well, it was way bigger in there than I expected. Stay tuned. Next weekend we go back for the Dreamcast TV!
I like the history popups are great. Thanks for showing the history of that Nintendo chair and what the full set looks like. I think it's fantastic that even you rescued it so it wasn't lost in time. I like the tease at the end that you're going back for the DC TV. This was neat to see something different and I like how you're always keeping it fresh.
Thank you for mentioning that! Trying some new stuff feels important to me while not straying away too much from what I do on this channel. Seems like you get me 100% what I am trying to do. Really appreciate your comment, man! Glad you can see what Im putting effort into. And the chair just had to be rescued. It deserves to get love and be apart of someones collection! :D
Yea its crazy haha, but at the same time a "good deal" considering what they cost on eBay xD Oh yea, theres so much stuff in these shops. You should at least make trips to Japan :D Expect another video when we go back here :D
Right!? Its super cool! And I cant believe the condition of it. The seat looks almost unused. Dreamcast TV is rare!! Haha! And insanely pricey. Not many collectors out there who has it. Yea, I love this place. Filled with amazing stuff everywhere you turn your head.
Hahaha! Another awesome video! Having had the pleasure of hosting Adam and Curtis at my apartment for some friendly competitive gaming on PS1 and Jackbox, these guys are hilarious and legendary guys! I love these videos and this channel! Can't wait to hang with you guys again! Bring the chair if you haven't sold it! I'll take it!
Wow! Thank you so much, Mark! 😃 You’re amazing and we had the best time at your place! Can’t wait to go back to Tokyo and hang out again! I need revenge at Tekken 2 😃 And awesome! Ill let Curtis know that!
Hey Adam 😊I was your number 6th like but I couldn’t comment:( I was on a no comment time out lol so stupid RU-vid does that lol. Anyways the chair is so cute are you selling it? Shipping to Canada is expensive lol lol 😂😂😂 how did you get it to Sweden? And that tv is soooo SWEET I love TVs I filmed some Retro TVs today at the retro store for my NEXT upcoming video. The tv is stupid expensive 70000 yen’s or usd lol lol I think u said usd that’s over 9000 cad. That store is a mess I feel like cleaning it and organizing it lol. When we go to Japan take me there lol lol and Lucky cat lol. Ttul
Hey Sara! Thats okay :D Haha yea the chair is really cool. It oozes 80s vibes :D And yes, it is for sale. And Curtis still have it in Japan. But he is willing to ship it worldwide. Yea that TV is a dream! Yea, 7000 USD, the staff told us. Its nuts but then again, its one of the most rare SEGA products out there. The mess makes its fun to look around :D But I agree that I like things organized otherwise.
@@RetroMoments still crazy 7000 usd for a tv even if it’s the rarest in the world at a thrift store lol! Can’t wait to see your next video I’m trying to clean my game room again lol it’s never ending lol I have a lot of figures toys and figuring out where to put 2 Christmas trees 🎄
Yea, well, neither of us walks around carrying that much money. But we decided to buy the TV together. So we are going back, giving them an offer in the next video. Coming this weekend :D Stay tuned.
Interestingly Adam, I was told that if you really want to find great gems in video gaming while hunting for them at reasonable prices, they said Nagoya is the best city to do so in Japan. Now I don't know if it's 100% true since I never been to Japan overall. But seeing this video, I believe the statements about Nagoya game hunting is becoming more truth than fiction. Anthony..
Oh yea, Anthony! Way better chances in Nagoya than Tokyo nowadays. That is true :) I was so surprised to see the Divers 2000 here still. Just standing there like its nothing special. Thats just crazy. Would you like to go to Japan someday? I feel like you would love it here!
@@RetroMoments i have found some random software at Traders and hard offs in the suburbs. then again that was 2019 on my last visit so things might/have changed in that time.
@@RetroMoments I rarely look in the buy it now section of eBay. Only when I am looking for something very common. Pretty much all my eBay purchases are always auction based
Right on. I get that. I always go for the auctions too. And then I look at ended auctions/buy now prices to determinate the value. Unfortunately, this TV has sold for more than double of 7000 USD. But I know! Its insane.
Cool! Since there are several people interested in it, we are taking offers at the moment. Let me know if you want all the pictures before putting a bid on it...
Three locations of this place? I didnt even know that. Im definitely trying to visit as many places as possible. I will visit more Thrift Stores overall at least. Its really interesting to explore them!
@@RetroMoments du vet du vad affärer som detta heter generellt? Har varit i Japan 2 gånger men hittar inte sånna här butiker. Söker man på 2nd hand ect kommer bara det vanliga upp. Hard off ect
Youre right. Theyre both in Aichi but it was late and I wasnt sure exactly where we went as Curtis took me here the first time. Im just getting all the info now!
@@RetroMoments I've lived in Nagoya for about 12 years now and it seems all the surrounding cities like Kariya, Gifu, Ichinomiya etc. are whats poppin for cool places like this. Osu in Nagoya was cool a bunch of years ago but aside from the occasional Hard Off Nagoya has become a bit of a dead zone. Even the giant BOOK OFFs suck shit now lol
Oh yea, definitely! I agree with you. At least Surugaya is still good. Only place in Osu I bought games. Theres a super cool game store in Gifu called Ojamakan Masaki. I definitely have to visit that one someday.
Yea thats a lot of money. But then again, how often do you see the Dreamcast TV like that on a shelf!? Glad you liked the ride and the cliffhanger haha :D Stay tuned for the video when we go back, next weekend!
