Mike you are one of the rare people who get it. You take the time to stop and meet your fans because you know they are the reason you are where you are. I respect that
This brings me back to the sick urban videos you use to make when i started watching your chanel! Awesome stuff Mike. You are still the best in the game.
Last Cast Fishing literally harassing all commenters asking for them to sub to your channel, dude like and comment on people's videos don't harass people
This is really weird to me, because I was in D.C. this last weekend. Literally walked all the way around those fishing spots, and even told my family that if I were to go back, I would bring my rods and fish the whole time. It looked like such an amazing fishery. You even fished all the exact spots I wanted to hit lol.
Very awesome video man. Props for calling the smallmouth as it was. Most guys would say they just lose at least a 3 lber in that situation. I would guess 2.67 ish?
If you are still in D.C. you should go check out the reflection pool. They have just drained it due to a parasite that killed about 80 ducks. I think you should add it to a video due to how cool it would be to see and the rarity of the occasion. like the comment if you think it is a good idea!!!!!
i get a kick out of watching your videos. i subscribe and always enjoy your enthusiasm while fishing. i have to say out of all the people i follow on here you and the catfish carp guy family are my favorite . Jerry McKinnis would be proud of you trying to teach the kids of today how to enjoy a time honored sport of fishing . cheers to you
The Proud Angler TM it's not the same as it used to be. he has been clickbaiting a lot recently and his content is just stale. sorry but it's the truth
We catch a lot of striped bass in this area of the country, around the San Francisco Bay and in the canals of central California, especially "schoolie" sized ones under 18" (legal minimum size limit here). They typically do not get "chunky" like a largemouth or smallmouth, but tend to be more slender, especially when they are smaller like that. When they get bigger, like 20 or 30 pounds (or more), then they can get a little "chunky" around spawning time. Enjoyed you video. I am trying to learn more about fishing in your area since my daughter just moved to Virginia.
Your fishing in America looks so cool. So many different predator spices. Here in Sweden we have like three or four common predator spices to fish for. Really love your vidz. Keep up the good work🎣
Hey Mike, Neat Video. Quite an assortment of fish. At the end I thought I was going to be watching another version of the movie "Groundhogs Day" lol Show me a person who fishes and says that "poor handling" never happened to them and I'll show you someone who never caught any/many fish!!! Tight Lines and Happy Times Dude! Good luck with your quest for snake heads!
I bike past here everyday into work. You've now convinced me to lug my backpacking rod/reel to try it out. I always see the carp/catfish dudes on the SE bridge leading into the channel. If you wanna try polluted and nasty, I suggest 4 mile run.
That was a striped bass. You can tell vs. the white bass as the striped bass has a slender body and the distinct black lines that don't break except behind/above the gill plate. Great job fishing D.C.!
Omg he had a SMILE MORE HAT Roman has clearly motivated young people I know this isn't Romans channel but that's so cool also I love you 1Rod you inspire me and I love watching your videos
went out bank fishing myself today caught 3 diff species largies smallies and a crappie..but if you ever get to mass there's a couple spots for nice smallies
If you could hold the fish, you could get a better glance. Plus smallmouth are more dense and weigh more. If you come to Kentucky I have a couple places we can grab some 3-5 pounders in creek water.
You should came to Durban, South Africa sometime. I fish the Durban harbour area almost every day and you never know what you might catch. The fishing pressure is a bit high but with most anglers converting to spinning setups and a catch and release mindset,we are slowly improving our fish stocks. Seriously though, if you ever visit South Africa, Durban especially, give me a shout and i will definitely take you on a tour of the best fishing spots around. Nice to see you doing it old school man. Top videos :)!!!!
Nice vid! That's urban fishing right there at it's best. Always a good day of fishing when the action is steady. When are you coming back to FL to do some saltwater fishing?
When you come back down to Florida you should check out the Boynton Beach Inlet. I go there all the time for snorkeling and collecting reef fish for my tank. It would be awesome to meet up with you one day there and I can show you some of the best spots to swim and maybe catch a Yellow Stingray or Guitarfish. Best times to go for snorkeling is from sunrise to about noon so you can catch the incoming tide. And parking can be a struggle if you don't get there before 9 AM. Let me know if you may be interested.
