I have raised seven teenagers and certainly respect MaryCarl and her decisions. We enjoyed her for several years and will probably do so again at some point but just knowing She is there behind the scene, is enough. So excited about the possibility of a baby hatching. First of all, watching you feed those babies just makes me smile. They eat so fast but they get a lot of milk and their tummies are full! They are growing incredibly fast! Love it! As for the Victoria Crown Pigeons, I think daddy is angry about something killing his baby and he ain't puttin' up with any shinanigans this time. He is very serious about protecting that egg. Good for him! He IS a good man. Praying for them to be able to raise that baby to full grown. Your fruit vines and trees are exploding with goodies. Amazing!

Yippee on the new egg! Let’s hope that, from now on, ALL new eggs hatch and hope the last mishaps were just trial runs! Don’t apologize for Mary Carl….she is just being a 14 yr old and will come to her own soon enough!

It's just precious that the little pigeon is nesting so close to the Victorians' nest. Maybe it's a good thing to be able to warn each other of danger approaching. I understand completely about MC she is at the age that she's finding herself. I can see her becoming a bird dr in the near future. I know there's a title to that, but I'm not smart enough to know it, lol. I'm so proud of her for just loving her birds so much. We have had years of watching MC growing up, and we do miss her, but we truly understand her thinking. Love you, sweet MC.

Maybe one day she will narrate some info about the birds, but not be on camera. That would be interesting. But whatever she decides we respect her decisions. I've never heard of any of these birds and I have learned so much.

The birds are just beautiful! In my experience, young girls who are making their way from little girl life to young women need their privacy as they figure out who they are and who they want to be. This process isn't easy, and I don't blame her for wanting to be off camera. I do feel she has the eye of photography and hope one day, she will be willing for us to see what see she's from behind the lens.
