For the record: owl pellets aren’t poop, they’re technically vomit. Owls have weaker stomachs compared to other birds of prey, so they can’t digest hair or bones. We did this at my school when i was in like 5th grade and we had to assemble all the bones and recreate the creature the owl had eaten. The teachers framed them all in like a 3D frame and they were just lined down the hallway. Pretty traumatizing for our tiny brains but it taught me what a shrew is.

These Dino Skeleton Adventures are Awesome! 8:58 Honestly, yeah, Owl pellets are pretty cool, they're full of the hair, fur, & bones of the things that owls eat but can't digest. & then they have to hoark it up, so it's more like owl vomit than owl poo. Then you can get neat mouse skulls & stuff.

That isn't poop. Owls _regurgitate_ fur, bone and feathers in the form of pellets because they can't digest them. Owls will expel a pellet at least once a day. Actual owl poop is white mush, indifferent to every other bird.

For a little while my job was to dissect owl pellets, and it's quite common to soak them in water before you start to take them apart. It also cuts down on pellet dust, and you don't wanna breathe that stuff in
