Characters unlike afk, are completely viable at first copy, at least for hoyo gacha games. So there is not as much pressure to go for more pulls when u can just grab them once, however down the road as the game gets more difficult, we'll might like a few extra copies to unlock more passives

Lost my 50/50 to a dupe of the only s I had at 76 pulls then also lost my whatever percentage on standard banner to a weapon for Ellen who I don't have also at 76 pulls then got my S rank bangboo at you guessed it 76 pulls and am currently 41 pulls into Ellen banner again still no fucking Ellen or any other S rank. Hoyo rates make me want to jump off a waist high wall.

@@benzs129 yes to some extent, there is a ton of free characters and with the free pulls u can get approximately 3 s-ranks which is a great start

All you have to do is reroll until you get Ellen then use the free pulls and story rewards for her weapon.
