I like the left one best. It draws the eye more with the pattern....but both are nice. I think you maybe liked the left and she liked the right, just by how she was helping your describe them :)
You guys are funny. I honestly don't know which one either of you like. I would like the one on the right if it didn't have gold stripes as it reminds me of some silk drapes I got at Pottery barn. I dislike the one on the left since it's an older more traditional pattern and you two are a young couple... it doesn't seem to suit your personalities. It also reminds me of Paisley and I don't like Paisley. I like neither (if it was my house) but I'm putting my vote for the one on the right.
