This whole thing about heal Haití, with all artist was a fraud. The funds never reached Haití. The very thing Drake rap is exactly what they did. Then everyone turned a blind eye.
I remember in Haiti this day just after school. All I had the time to see is my home and home of my friends, was going down then crashing. I didn’t died this day on junuary 12 , 2010 thank you god. Now I have the chance to live in Paris in France with my mother and step brothers and sisters. I was 9 years old at this time. I just celebrate my 18 years old 18 October 2019
i remember when i was a kid, after every earthquake my elementary school held charities to help haiti rebuild, and i, as a kid, always emptied out my savings and allowance and stuff to help Haiti EDIT: i live in Canada, and i hate to see people suffer, thats part of the reason why i did it as a kid
14 years and I still come back every year to sing along to this beautiful scene of beautiful talented voices banding together to make the world feel like there’s still some light left in it.
Me too. I actually met one of the artists in this video in person. That artist is Jacob Hoggard. Man that night was awesome. I love this song and the fact Jacob participated in this makes me even more proud to be a fan of him and his band.
Justin just did the ending but it was perfect. like, the whole song is 'the adults' telling us children to be stronger when gets older. and Justin with his soft voice representing 'the children' singing the ending was like "i will be stronger. i will." was like he just taught a hope from adults. god i love how they did for this song.
2022 Anyone? Hope everyone reading this will have a better and happy life and heal from pain if there is any. Time flies so quick, you never realize it.
This song is even more inspiring when you learn that Haiti was the first succesul slave revolution. Im really not into nationalism and I feel it brings more trouble than anything else...but I cant deny that Haiti has a beautiful national history.
Anyone listening in 2024? With everything happening to Our World now, this song "Wavin' Flag", and other songs "We Are The World", "Where is the Love?" and "Heal the World", really points out what Our World Needs right now, and that is "To Unite and Help One Another", stop war, corruption and all greediness and selfishness in mankind, instead "Be Each Other's Strength and Hope", Everyone, "Be A Spreading Miracle of Light for Humanity". #LoveandPeace #Healers #Empaths #LightWorkers #ShadowWorkers #TheAwakenedOnes
Wavin' Flag" [All:] When I get older I will be stronger They'll call me freedom Just like a wavin flag [K'naan:] Born from a throne Older than Rome But violent prone Poor people zone [Nelly Furtado:] But it's my home All I have known [Sam Roberts:] Where I got grown But now its gone [Avril Lavigne:] Out of the darkness In came the carnage Threatening my very survival [Pierre Bouvier of Simple:] Fractured my streets And broke all my dreams [Tyler Connolly of Theory of a Deadman:] Now Feels like defeat to wretched retreat [All:] So we strugglin' [Kardinal Offishall:] Fighting to eat [All:] And we wonderin' [Kardinal Offishall:] If we'll be free [Jully Black:] We cannot wait for some faithful day It's too far away so right now I'll say [All - Chorus:] When I get older I will be stronger They'll call me freedom Just like a waving flag And then it goes back And then it goes back And then it goes back Ahhho ahhho ahhho [Lights:] So many wars settling scores [Deryck Whibley of Sum 41:] All that we've been through And now there is more [Serena Ryder:] I hear them say love is the way [Jacob Hoggard of Hedley:] Love is the answer that's what they say [Emily Haines:] But were not just dreamers Of broken down grievers [Hawsley Workman:] Our hand will reach us And we will not see ya [Drake:] This can't control us No it can't hold us down [Chin Injeti:] We gon pick it up even though we still struggling [Pierre Lapointe:] Au nom de la survie (In the name of survival) [All:] And we wondering [Pierre Lapointe:] Battant pour nos vies (Fighting for our lives) [All:] We patiently wait For some other day [Fefe Dobson and Esthero:] Thats too far away so right now I say [All - Chorus:] When I get older I will be stronger They'll call me freedom Just like a waving flag And then it goes back And then it goes back And then it goes back When I get older I will be stronger They'll call me freedom Just like a waving flag And then it goes back And then it goes back And then it goes back [Drake - Rapping:] Uhh... well alright How come when the media stops covering And there's a little help from the government We forget about the people still struggling And assume that its really all love again nahh See we don't have to wait for things to break apart If you weren't involved before it's never too late to start You probably think that it's too far to even have to care Well take a look at where you live what if it happened there? You have to know the urge to make a change lies within And we can be the reason that they see the flag rise again [Nikki Yanofsky, Drake:] When I get older I will be stronger They'll call me freedom Just like a wavin' flag [15:] And then it goes back [Justin Nozuka:] And then it goes back [Nikki Yanofsky:] Then it goes back [Chorus - All:] When I get older I will be stronger They'll call me freedom Just like a waving flag And then it goes back And then it goes back And then it goes back When I get older I will be stronger They'll call me freedom Just like a waving flag And then it goes back And then it goes back And then it goes back [Justin Bieber:] When I get older When I get older I will be stronger Just like a waving flag
Oh, come on, who cares about what we think about Justin Bieber? This was a great song with a great message, it's all that matters. And it's not like Bieber killed anyone, you can keep disliking him normally and liking the Bieber that contributed to this song.
I had the song in audio and I see it here I feel bad(even though I don't like Justin) for him because I thought it was a girl didn't know it was him. lol
9Kualalumpur I actually find Bieber's contribution at the end very moving. They show the picture of the baby in Haiti and then you hear Bieber's voice in the background and it sounds like a kid's voice it is very moving. Bought tears to my eyes.
If you guys dislike the video because of an artist you didn't like, you didn't get the point of the video at all. This was a truly inspiring moment for me she I saw this video. My teacher showed me this video.
@@SlackStyle09 thank you... for the life of me i couldn't remember her last name... i kept thinking Blonsky, but, no, that was the lead in Hairspray... i could not think of it.
I've listened to this song when it started and it still gets to my heart because they all care, and the Canadian singers on there, all cared about it aswell, that's why their on it ^.^
2023 I'm here. I will turn 18 this years. And I will get older, I will be stronger. Hope the world will get better, more peace, more love. And I will become a better person.
14 Year's later With Israel, Palestine, Russia, Ukraine etc still at war and many countries fighting corrupt government, poverty and corona this song still stands as "Beacon of beautiful humanity and spreading love❤️✨"
This song makes me almost want to cry and I realize how lucky I am to live in a giving country. I've donated to many causes through school and online. I wish people actually had a heart and didn't dislike this video.
Anyone listning in April 2016? Its awesome song... I can listen it 1000 times or even more... Wonderful lyrics... Very Motivational... I hope one day all countries will come together and there will be peace in the world. Lots of love from India
This song should be approved as official world cup song just like the champions league anthem, the number of times I've listened to this song is unhealthy....
This made me cry for some reasons😭😭😭 Realizing that even if the pandemic is a lot worse than we expected, we can still fight while helping each other. Just like a wavin' flag, let us all be free from this madness and start living a new life with peace! 💪
@@Yutsob That's why I'm here, too. I was messing around with her Google and saw she was part of this. I had to look it up. She and everyone else did an incredible job. They are all wonderful people for this.
@@melissakillops7441 They spelt it correctly. Je suis Canadien ou, I am Canadian. C'est le même sens. Canadian in French is 'Canadien', et Canadien en Anglais est 'Canadian'. 😉
