In February this year, an important event transpired. Young representatives from 4 different parties came together, bonded and learnt more about each other and perspectives they had on different aspects of society.
Hosted by Shawal Yeo, the event saw Min Cheong of the SDP, Terence Soon from the PSP, Charles Yeo from Reform Party and Elijah Tay of the RDU engage in a casual sit-down discussion and share what the country’s pledge means to them.
We can’t emphasise enough the importance of coming together, sharing and appreciating each other for who we are. Despite coming from different political organisations, there was clearly no animosity or judgement. Just honest conversation and the forging of a new, lasting friendship.
Alternative voices are what the society needs to be truly representative and unbiased. Let’s build a future for Singapore that’s inclusive, caring & understanding.
