Memphis rapper Young Dolph has left an indelible mark on not only his fans and rap music, but his community as well. Speedy tries to put his career and life into words as hip hop is dealt yet another crushing blow. Dolph leaves behind two kids, a partner, family, friends, and a slew of loyal fans. We would like to send our deepest condolences to everyone who loved him. May he rest in peace.

As someone who got the chance to see him perform at two homecomings at two of my buddies' colleges, I found him an amiable and down-to-earth individual. I met him with a friend at my friend’s college homecoming, which showed that he had a heart for his fellow students. If someone in his crew killed him, that makes it all the more difficult to understand. For anyone doing well at the moment or on their way, I offer this advice.
