It is extremely simple to me; 90 percent of mexican/Chicano rappers are heavily affiliated with a gang which for one is corny af and does immediately limits their exposure. Not every Chicano is in a gang and a majority of us hate gang affiliation. Second off, most of them are corny af and do not have their own sound. I do feel like this generation will develop some great Chicano hip hop artists that are very versatile and open to working with others they do not identify with. One that comes to mind is Baby Gas from Oakland. He has bars and doesn't sound like he is reading s children's book with ABC rhymes and cliches all over. Snow tha Product is a mothafucking beast tho

What ive noticed being from Florida is you would see Mexicans enjoy rap and hip hop as kids but as they got older they would start listening to more and more traditional Mexican music like their dads i would hangout with some Mexican kids and thats what i noticed we all started to get older and the music at partys started changing so i think its that the reason not a lot of Mexican rappers exist
